Should be an interesting game v Leeds. We haven't got a goalscorer, whilst they are struggling for CB's. This is a game I would give Gayle a chance as Joelinton is not a CF. Bruce said he is best played out wide so why play him through the middle?. Had a good laugh at Bruce's interview after Man Un. One of his excuses was he'd had 6 players away on international duty which had interrupted training, funny that as he never picked any for the actual match. Obviously his golfing trip didn't help either.
Wilson possibly out for 6 weeks and not back until after the next international break... Could be to far gone by then.
Bruce needs to change something - no good playing 5 at the back if we aren't solid defensively and keeping goals out - at an average of 3 conceded a game it's not worth persisting with hoping to nick a win by a goal here and there if we need to score 4 to "nick" it.
The only positives I can find is Leeds will play their game regardless of how ****e we are and there are opportunities to expose them on the counter. If we can find a way to stop them scoring we'll be in with a chance but I doubt Bruce has a clue how to do that.
I'd put Darlow back in - people saying Freddie is young and the rest - you're right but we need a keeper who's experienced atm - much like the Dubravka coming in for Darlow last season despite Darlow playing well generally, Dubz came in and gave us another level - Darlow will improve us over Woodman just due to experience.
