Who'd have thought a few years ago we'd be playing Cheltenham from a position 2 points behind them in the League<doh>? I don't expect too many changes from the team that beat Crewe. My guess:
MacG;
Matthews, Innis , Famewo, Purrington:
DJ, Morgan, Clare, Kirk;
Stockley, Lee.
The substitutions will be eagerly awaited.

No disrespect to non-league, but I'd rather we were playing Cheltenham than Bog-end Rovers of the 10th tier - as the Anti Sandgaard brigade would apparently prefer.

UP THE ADDICKS!

This.

It almost feels like the first game of the season again, with the new signings.

Chances are we will probably play a similar team to Crewe, with the new signings coming off the bench.

I'm hoping the substitutions don't matter too much.
With any luck we'll be a couple of goals up and running the game by 75 minutes or so. Subs to steady the ship perhaps and maintain that control. Not for players out of steam though I hope - not after 11 or 14 days without a match for most of the squad.
I would hope anyone can put in a full shift right now.
Folks who can't should be on the bench in my view, not starting a game.

If we need a game-changer to come on then things have not gone well.
Admittedly then the choice of subs will be important and maybe controversial.

Crewe were awful, should Cheltenham put in a better performance it will be interesting to see how we show.

I don't think Crewe were awful.

Crewe lacked a player who could finish the chances they made.
If Cheltenham make as many chances as Crewe did I'll be impressed.

not sure if anyone else has a little bet, but now is a great time for top half or top six odds. win this game tomorrow and the odds will drop massively.

Looking forward to watching this on the stream. Got a few players to bed in but you would expect to fancy us for this one.

No predictions - I just want three points.

Hopefully this will be the start of our march to the top end of the table.

From struggling to field a decent 1st 11 we are now spoilt for choice. However on the basis that neither Purrington nor Souare are fit to start, lets give this team a go.....

MacGillivray

Matthews, Lavelle, Famewo

Jaiyesimi, Arter, Lee, Morgan, Kirk

Stockley, Washington

Subs Leko, Clare, Pearce, Inniss, Gunter, Watson, Henderson, Purrington, Davison, Elerewe..........

Blimey, that wasn't easy to fit them all in <laugh>

That should give us a thumping 4-1 victory

Don't get too excited yet, quality over quantity comes to mind.

Mmmm, not bad NA, you do like a 4 man defence. Gunter and Watson instead of my Arter and Washington. I suppose Washington might need a rest after the internationals, but Watson instead of Arter ? Obviously a fitness issue.
