Its you that is giving him publicity by trying and failing in my opinion to give the fraudster any credence whatsoever, So you can feed away, I'm done.

To be fair mate, the joy of this forum is that it's no more than a bunch of blokes chatting about their club ...

... it's often likened to a pre-match pub and that's about right imo.

If Grigg chooses to look back on here that's his choice, bollocks to him.

Reactions: Blond Bombshell
just wondering if he was pushed out of the door, from STID it seems obvious his club did not want to sell him but for a club in their position in div 3 it was a hell of a wedge to turn down, also pretty obvious he never wanted to leave, or at least into the dark north with us...at this point i cannot blame him entirely for a lack of enthusiasm.

then of course we have to consider his chosen profession, a profession where clubs will buy and sell players where depending on your skill level you can end up almost anywhere in the world, having been fully aware of such facts then he should be capable of at least acting in a professional manner and do his best for his new club, regardless of choice or past loyalties (we have had a few 'mags' play for us and all were able to do just that) yet he appears to have made very little attempt to help the club or indeed himself...for this reason i completely blame him and cannot wish him well as i would most who get a move away from the club.

the very least we should expect from a player is that they make an effort...i remember the stick kilbane got but the lad never hid, he walked onto the pitch and did what he could even moving to a new position to try and get it right and he did try and for that he gets my respect, because as we have seen it is fairly easy for a player to use the sick note excuse.

I don't care how many he scores for another Club, as Clearly, he wasn't going to do it here.

This sort of thing happens in football and to every Team.

But, at last it's over and I can happily forget that he was ever with us.

(Or perhaps not. On those cold winter nights when there's nowt on the box my mind wanders to the dark corners of my memory, and BRET ANGEL's name often crops up.
Hope watsisname doesn't join in)
Bert Angle as us from Seaham used to call him, to be fair to him though he wasn’t a tosser he just wasn’t very good for us.

Not sure where you get the idea I'm giving him any credence. I didn't want us to sign him in the first place and wasn't surprised that it turned out to be a bad move. I only commented on this thread because I think it makes us look silly to hate such an obviously bad signing. You seem determined to pick an argument with me for some reason so I won't comment further on it.

Imo, Bloke was signed by two PR men that seen an opportunity to hear 30k Mackems singing "Will Griggs on fire", even better at Wembley. And sold by a club up to the eyes in debt that couldn't believe their luck. Obviously after he had seen STID and Ross saying he didn't really want him he got worse, but even before that he didn't give a ****e.

Very true mate, I personally just think it was a disaster from the minute we signed him, I think the main person to blame in all this is Donald.
Making the signing of a player the manager didn't want, the player didn't want to come but basically his club had to sell him Donald offered silly wages and he was a greedy twat that no one else really wanted.
Then to top it all off the style of football we played would never have suited his game.
After all is said and done it doesn't bother me how many goals Grigg scores they won't be against us and what I've seen from us so far this season and the new signings we have made the only team in this league I'd be happy with taking a point off is sheff wed, every other team I will be confident we can beat.
So onwards and upwards as I think all we are playing for is whether we finish first or second

If Grigg didn't want to come, but was being pressed (emotionally blackmailed) by a cash strapped club then maybe he was trying to push very high wages in an attempt to stymie the deal to stay where he was?

After all, many tradesmen react to a job they don't want by putting in a very high estimate.

I was told off a mate of mine that Grigg had had a fall out with Cook while he was at Wigan and that was why they were prepared to sell him for the right price. I honestly don't know if it's true or not, but it does make sense if you think that Cook didn't take up an option to sign him on loan either this season or last. It still doesn't excuse his attitude or Donald wasting that money on him. Money that could and should have been used during the close season transfer window.

It’s Gareth Hall for me!! Terrifies the life out of me

For Donald, the whole Sunderland thing,as we now know, was a huge gamble on his part,he was out of his depth from the moment he went into it and the gamble was promotion in year 1. Almost like an all in at poker,he threw everything at the Grigg deal, without the proper due diligence, in an attempt to get promotion over the line. His luck didn't hold,a very poor 45 minutes at Wembley ruined that dream.....so near and yet so far. From his perspective,I can see why he did it......a proven L1 goalscorer....every one of us expected lots of goals. And that's why I despise the both of them...in their different ways they were playing fast and loose with our future, unforgiveable.

Nailed it marra, hopefully we won't see the likes of these two again
