Even by Tottenhams standards this is a cock up of epic proportions, the the administration at the club has a lot to answer for , how many games will we lose these two for only time will tell but I hope the club learn from this clusterfuck
What do you think the Club should have done? They can't actually keep the players in the country can they?

We have to assume they were clearly told not to go, warned as to consequences. If so, then you are right. We can't imprison them. Very stupid behaviour and they are partly responsible for the whole mess in Brazil.

It’s the player’s faults completely in my opinion, not the club.

The Prem collectively all agreed that players called up to red list countries were essentially forbidden to go and then reports came out (albeit I don’t think from major sources at the time) claiming the players were going to ignore what their clubs have said and then as we saw the moment after the Watford game Lo Celso and Romero are posting pics of them on their private jet flying off.

Whilst I understand wanting to play for their country, their ignorance on the matter pisses me off. Not a great way for Romero to start his career with the club whilst Lo Celso can stay in Argentina for all I care, so done with that guy as much as I am Ndombele. After Sanchez’s great start to the season I’m also surprised and disappointed he went, now that he’s going to miss between 2-4 games depending on when he returns, he may well lose his spot if whoever partners Dier impresses (Rodon if fit? Or Tanganga shifted inwards?). He was a player that was supposedly being considered up for sale in the summer if a good offer came in so he’s not done himself any favours.

Just been called up by Wales:

Reguilon's also been called up by Spain:

Other teams are getting their players back, while we're losing more of them. <doh>

In Rodon’s case that’s actually quite handy. Providing he doesn’t aggravate an injury, any extra minutes between now and Palace should be pretty ideal.

He hasn't been fit enough to play a single game for us yet this season.
He should not be playing for anyone else until he does.

I thought that the club had an agreement with the Argentinian FA that they would not play against Bolivia which to my mind the club had something to do with this mess
Agree we could not stop them travelling but surely the were informed of the consequences if they did

He needs the minutes and if he’s gonna be needed to start against Palace I’d rather he has some match fitness than none at all.

Michail Antonio made his international debut for Jamaica last night.
He lasted 70 minutes as they lost 3-0 at home to Panama. Oh dear....

I would be amazed if their contracts didn't require them to be released for International duty and even more amazed if the PL ruling could negate the contractual terms. FIFA needs to sanction any PL Club that refused to release players.

Problem is that, if they did that, Man Utd, Chelsea and Liverpool would be relegated due to all the backdated points deductions

John and Devine started for the England U19s, as they drew 1-1 in Germany in a friendly.
Scarlett came off the bench to get the equaliser a few minutes after they'd gone behind:

The German opener was quite something, too:

Armindo Sieb, who's on Bayern's books, currently playing for their B team in the 2nd tier.

Argentine FA have confirmed Lo Celso and Cuti have been released from duty. So they’ll be back and eligible to face Chelsea in a couple weeks.

Lo Celso and Romero - what a pair of muppets. Defied club orders to go halfway round the world. Hope they both get a massive fine and don’t play in the first team for the foreseeable

Missing a bunch of games because you want to play in a game that you got called off by attending? <doh>
The whole thing's been a spectacular ****show and FIFA/CONMEBOL need to sort it out.
There's a couple more international breaks after this one and this needs fixing.

Finished 1-1 and the shots were something like 32-2 to France.
Their team included £35m Real Madrid signing Eduardo Camavinga.
