Ok, is “anyone” better than Bruce? Definitely not. Under this owner, I think there’s maybe a 1% chance of actually improving the quality of manager.

The question of should we have someone better than Bruce in charge, that’s a resounding yes for me. There are many quality candidates we could realistically employ who would be an instant improvement on this buffoon. But it all comes back to the owner, ad Infinitum and ad nauseum.

I thought you was giving up on the club and wouldn't be coming back here. You post every day

Honest question here and I don’t want to be abused.

Why do managers always have to be older retired or close to retired players.

Could a manager not be someone who is actually on the pitch in their pomp. Like a captain?

Player managers? Has it ever worked?

You mean a player-manager?

It's been attempted plenty of times, but it doesn't work as managers have to do a lot of office work too, I think the player-manager quickly loses fitness, stops playing himself in order to avoid animosity and every single time I've ever seen it done the player often opts to retire within a year or so after getting the job.

Kevin Nolan was player manager at Leyton Orient, he didn't play himself once.

Fair enough. I just feel like the best place to know what’s happening is on the pitch.

I guess that is why you have a manager and a captain. You need your captain to be totally in line with your own ideas so he can implement them on the pitch.

And that’s another issue we have. Bruce and Lascelles don’t appear to get on.

<doh> Kevin Nolan is my number 1 pick to replace Bruce.

He has experience managing, he's now been Moyes' assistant at West Ham for 3 years. He's also one of my favourite players we've had.

There you go @Roy Munson

Bruce doesn't get on with anyone, none of the players like him.

There you go @Captain wrong
And he’s not a yes man. Clearly he likes a pint and would stand up to Ashley’s ****.

Personally i don’t buy this British managers are **** lark. It’s just they don’t generally get an opportunity as clubs would prefer a sexy Spaniard.

Im also fed up of all the usual names/dinasour idiots. I would buy into a new young manager who is trying something different and modern.

Even if there’s a few years of pain.

A brick would be an improvement.

Enough of the stupid comments thanks. Thinking, expecting, demanding that a brick come and manage us, it's exactly this type of thing that gives NUFC fans a bad name. We've got no hope of attracting a brick.Unreasonable expectations.Deluded.
