I love it when a player that gets slated on here scores a goal and everyone is up his arse I have always like Jay and wanted him to stay Hope he comes good and carries on scoring
when Jay came back to us I was glad of the move, but when I saw him playing, he had lost everything. confidence, pace, touch. But he has put in a lot of extra work on the training field, especially over the international break, and he has come back a different player. He was one of our outstanding players last night and topped it off with a cracker from 25 yards. He still has a little work to do to be back at the peak of his game, but he seems to have the right mental attitude back.
I'm glad to hear it - for his sake. For whatever reason/s he'd lost it by the time he left us on loan with you.
Personally, I still don't think he's any good. Well done for scoring, but still. Probably a bit of luck
This goal might set him going, we saw what one goal did for him over the Christmas period last year when he had his best form for us, he looked a different player.
various reports have the shot from between 25 and 35 yards out. from the sky pictures it looked aroun d 30 yards out and appeared a Hit and Hope short. The keeper was at fault as he was slow to react. But good that it went in and Hull City did very well out of last nights results. Just 3 points off 2nd place now and with a game in hand on the Hammers. same again please OJ @ leicester on saturday.
****ergren doesnt like playing against us. He took a lot of stick from us behind the goal last night too. Didnt look comforable at all for the game. Couldnt understand Brighton's motive of always wanting to pass it out at goal kicks. I assume it was to slow the game down and play at their pace instead of letting us dictate the game. It was frustrating to watch, especially as we didnt close them down quickly. Their number 11, Noone, was top class. Have not seen a winger cause so many problems and he fully deserved his goal. Man of the match by a long stretch.
Its fair to say he was good but the decision to bring Barron off for Dunney baffeld me. I know he was booked but Alan Dunne is absolute ****e for some reason. He has single handedly cost us 5 odd goals this season. W

***UPDATE*** JAY Simpson has not given up on playing for Hull City again but the striker's main focus is on rediscovering his goalscoring touch, according to his agent. Currently on-loan at Millwall until January, Simpson scored a great long-range equaliser as the Lions drew 1-1 with Brighton on Tuesday night in his first 90 minutes for the strugglers. The goal was his first in the league since scoring in City's 4-2 home defeat by Middlesbrough back in April after finding first-team opportunities hard to come by under Nigel Pearson this season. And his agent, Uben Gray, insists he will soon get back to his best after working hard on his fitness during the recent international break. He told the Mail: "It's been hard for Jay to hit the ground running because he hadn't played many games for Hull despite having a good pre-season. "But he has used the recent break to really work hard on his fitness and bring himself up to scratch. "Obviously, he got his rewards with a very good goal against Brighton and now he wants that to continue. "Whilst he has not had the best of starts to the season at Hull, he is hoping he can use his time at Millwall to show what he's capable of. "I'm not actually sure what the future holds for Jay at Hull until I've spoken to Adam Pearson, but Jay is pleased to be playing regular football and he's glad to have opened his account for the season. Hopefully, a few more will follow and he'll make people take notice of him." Whether the former Arsenal striker has a future at the KC Stadium depends largely on the future of on-loan City hitman Martyn Waghorn. The 21-year-old is currently nursing a hamstring injury, but is believed to be edging closer to full fitness and he could come into contention for Watford's visit on Saturday.
