I don't get this attitude. IMO he needs to be thrown in and given the chance. As Sir Matt said . “If they are good enough, they are old enough.”
I don't think he's good enough. The pressure could break him, too.
There are very few 17-year-olds that are good enough to play in the Premier League.

Reactions: Citizen Kane.
The stats for Vini are totally skewed.
He scored once in the PL in 303 minutes.
The PL is the important league.
6 of his goals came in the Europa- hopefully that is a level that Dane can produce.

Once in 303 minutes is less than a 1 in 4 strike rate for the competition. That would equate to around 10 league goals over the course of the season if he played regularly which would've equalled what Aubameyang, Antonio and Benteke scored last season.

Back up strikers don't tend to play much in the Premier League either, especially at Spurs, so the important stuff for Vinicius was to ensure he was filling in adequately for Kane in other competitions - which he done so. We now don't have that option and are instead going to need to rely on a 17 year old kid or risk overplaying Kane or Son.

Fingers crossed that reality has kicked in today for Doherty and Aurier now that we essentially have 4 right backs. Perhaps a late deal to get rid of at least one of them may result in us being able to make a last minute swoop for someone else?
Surely at least one of them isn’t sticking around until January?
It’s the only bit of hope ive got left for us bringing in a creative player. Having said that, we’ll probably end up signing Traore if/when the squad place is freed up…

Doesn’t sound like we’ll be doing anything else.

The business we have done I’m really happy with (assuming they hit the ground running) but the business we haven’t done I’m disappointed at.

No creative mid and no second striker is gonna make it rough I think. Kane or Son will likely get ran into the ground and I doubt we’ll have too many freak goals like Son’s on the weekend against more teams who sit back, we need(ed) someone to help open those sides up.

It’d be nice to see if anything is up the club’s sleeve but there’d usually be at least a whisper by now… which there isn’t.

Overall I’ll say a 6.5/10 window. Some good and exciting signings and we’ve managed to shift a good few of the deadwood but too many still remain and we didn’t add two crucial positions which I think could cost us.
