Just noticed while watching sky sports news that Aston villa are in the northern side of the draw and Birmingham are in the southern side, wonder how that works?

I suppose its as good an answer as anywell Birmingham is in the middle and its got to split somewhere![]()
If you divide England into north midlands and south by lines of latitude, Birmingham is in the south. (Manchester/Leeds are midlands, the north doesn’t start until York)
50 ^ N. is south tip , 56^N is about Berwick . Divide into 3 x 2^.sounds correct to me

The border is lower on the West side though, plus the country is wider in the South than the North, should it be divided into 3 equal areas?
