I never talk about personal messages but I sent one to the Mods and SD about this and they all encouraged me to stand (I made it clear that I didn't wanna tread on anyone's toes etc) as they thought it was important that the board had the final say.

SD was very clear that he was in favour of a vote.

I would be unhappy if non spurs fans had a vote.

I like the Premier league board but club boards (imo) should be able to have threads with reasonable discussion with them descending into windups or abuse.

@littleDinosaurLuke and @Diego follow the Spurs board rules (along with others) but the Spurs board remains vibrant and interesting with good debates because of the way it is run imo.

The Arsenal and Chelsea boards used to be really busy but are pretty dead now...would hate to see the spurs board go like that.

If we take into account regular/ semi regular posters... SD probably is the most logical choice from the mod's perspective to replace NKNG.

Spurly - my brother but he'd destroy this board when removing all the rules and filters thus allowing all our Prem board degenerate pals to flood the place.
Hudd - thinks he truly is Tom Huddlestone, dual persona, we can't have loonies running the asylum.
RCL - how the **** are you even a candidate?! You'd be as bad as me <laugh>
Brian - has gone full on Sith level evil against Levy and if anyone mentions anything positive about the guy he'd lifetime ban them.
TCM - openly admitted to having an odd sense of humour on this very thread, mods need to be normal, or as close to normal as possible.
CK - flounces way too much, wouldn't be around to ban anyone.
King - many of us have pessimistic traits but King's level knows no bounds. Would ban anyone for saying something optimistic.
Power - still rates Winks and Sisosko, should be banned (or burned even) for that, not promoted to mod status.
Maggie - far too nice, would give people 15 chances and still not ban them.
Audrey - basically admitted to being Santa. When we're making a fool of ourselves on Xmas eve they'll be too busy delivering presents to mod us.
Roo - be too busy analysing transfer targets plus successes and failures to remember he's actually gotta mod.
HBIC - would create even more nicknames that none of us would understand, probably even give all of us one too if given mod status.
RD - Mr data guy would create a (faulty) algorithm that'd ban people for specific things and we'd lose half the board.
TO - too busy looking after Tilly that they won't be able to look after us.
PTP - would pull the plug on the whole site... Geddit? GEDDIT?!
RWAEB - comes from a place that calls football "soccer"... So that's an instant no!
Alfie - rumour on the grapevine is that he's a Con(n) artist. (Man I'm good).
Smithy - the absolute legend of the whole site, being a mod is beneath him.
LOTS - forgets when Spurs are playing at times, would therefore forget to mod.
Perryman - predominantly only posts on the Prediction thread, so I predict they won't be a great mod.
Vim - too busy fighting the refereeing injustices of the world to care about modding the board.
Bajan - likely catching rays in Barbados (assuming that's where the name comes from?)... Who'd wanna mod this board when they can do that?
Deedub - is literally a baby (judging by the avatar pic)... A baby would be a better choice than most of us, mind.
Lockstock - chilling with Guy Ritchie and the rest of the cast.
BFB - you really want someone from Wales running this board? Come on now!
CmJ - has cracker in his name, means crazy in my eyes.

And then there's me - absolutely perfect for the role but this board doesn't deserve perfection.

Hopefully I've mugged just about everyone off. If I've forgotten you, my apologies.
