well, if he goes good luck to the lad but i honestly hope any compen includes the 'extras' the club has allowed him since his former contract ran out, i am pretty sure (although obviously cannot be certain) that the club have looked after him during his injury and recovery period, doctors, physio, facilities etc and it would be a bit much to have that thrown back into their faces.
Yeah, it does sound as if someone, most likely his agent, has messed him up... Pity I like the lad (he was a bit if a scapegoat to some when he first made the team). I always thought there was a decent player there, when he grew up, got bigger/stronger, and defended better... which imho he was starting to do. Still if we now have cover for the LB position, the ball is very much in his court... we are no longer desperate and he cannot hold us to ransom as it were.
