Ok, sensible head on for a moment.
Why not give this a try and see if it's ok? Then, if after a few matches it seems too chaotic we can go back to individual match day threads. Provided we can get someone willing to do them.

In this format @johnsonsbaby will never post, he never posts in a match thread until the match is complete <laugh>

I'm not bothered either way tbh but feel we could lose interest from some with this approach. I tend to leave the old match thread once I'm done with that game and focus on the next, can't really do that in this format.

I never post during a match either, so I don't see why that's an issue - perhaps I'm missing something?
After the game you talk about it, interest wanes when the next match takes over. I can't really see how the format affects that.

He won't post until AFTER the match is complete. As in, not beforehand or during. This format is always before a game until the 38th is complete.

Only issue I have is that once the game finishes there’s gonna be people posting about the last game and people posting about the next one. Might just get a bit messy. With seperate threads it keeps it nice and neat and anyone that wants to keep talking about previous game can do so in that thread without disturbing the build up to the next game.

Happy to just have one thread if people want though. I know other boards do it but generwlly it’s the quieter ones that don’t get as many comments.

Awkward bugger.
Ok, perhaps we need a vote then. Personally I'm not bothered. I've suggested we give this one a try but I'm not wedded to the idea.
Tbh there shouldn't be a problem with individual threads - it doesn't have to be the same person every time, just whoever is around and gets there first. It doesn't have to be elaborate and only takes a minute to set up.

Yes, sometimes a matchthread can go on for weeks after if its been a big game or controversial or whatever.
We could do it as we go through the season, match to match with different posters contributing?
