That lads is desperate to get a move. has been linked all over since the average to decent euros showing.
The big worry is that Jurgen likes his signings to have a full preseason and we normally wrap the deals up early. If we're now 3 days until the first game and no one's come in, then either we're not getting someone at all (they've known about Gini for long enough to plan for this) and think the current squad can cope or the midfielder we wanted isn't available. I find the whole sitatuation the same as last year's defending one and tbh, the same problem we've had almost every window for the last 3 years: We're gambling again that our starting XI stay fit. Ah well. Seat belts on and see what happens.
Makes me wonder what FSG are thinking for the next 2 to 3+ years when alot of our squad starts to age out. You'd think for a good transition they'd start the process of finding younger replacements now so that when Henderson, Salah et al are looking old the next lot have had those seasons to settle and can take over with ease. Seems to me that FSG coasting on the CL and PL wins and not thinking about what happens next. Maybe they're not in it for the long haul?
Take it, get rid, free up valuable space. Same for big div, clubs had at least 2 years to get rid of him, take the 10m and get a better player in. Its like we are paupers ffs
well, if it’s €6m and we get a new signing or we keep him and don’t, which would you choose? Personally, I’d drive him to the airport
Yeah, its creating the squad space for possible new arrivals. The 'Powercube'must go, just wish we were at least getting our £13m back
its relative though. The market is deflated. A £50m player from 2 years ago, is now £25-30m so we gain on the buying, while we lose on the selling.
Look at the squad again. The top midfield has 2 30+ players. This is backed by two 25+ who are crocks and 2 kids coming behind. The best forwards are 29/30. With jota who is a good addition. There's zero behind that. Zero. The defense and keeper has no issue. In the end its about laying hands on a top forward, but if we look at last year the players came late.
Some interesting news breaking, leicester have bid on vesterveld and Southampton have accepted. First the guy imo is big and slow and won't improve leicester Second southampton are then left with no real cb imo. I wouldn't rate that lot they have. Relegation fodder as ings has also left. Their fans were hopping mad when we dared buy a couple one year (and then returned yearly to wum them) but they have rather meekly sold off the few jewels.
If we sold Shaq and Div this week and brought in someone like...............Renato Sanches..........I would be happy P.S. What's going on at St.Georges Hall tomorrow?
Meh. Renato sanchez barely had a decent euros and did faff all for lille last year due to injury. If we sell both and buy haaland then ok
