Pat is a superb boxer and fighter but fighting the amateur/ professional Cubans is a lottery. He’ll have a great pro career now that he’s made the move.
Perhaps Harry Kane should take up cycling? Then he could possibly join the Kenny family, when asked to 'show me your medals' use a wheelbarrow...
Are they making a mockery of the Olympics,in japan there has been Girls/women prancing about with hoola hoops.Next time in France will be Break dancing. I thought the games were for a show of strength and speed.
I saw that this morning. Was it the Bulgarian lasses? They had some juggling sticks as well and they were throwing the hula hoops up and letting it bounce of one of the others' back then another one would catch it. I've seen nowt like it.
Loved the olympics. Some superb GB performances. Kenny tops it off with another gold. I know it is not to everyones taste but watching Max Whitlock go all in on the pommel horse and smash it was superb. Everything down to 60 seconds and he opts for something harder than everyone else and nails it. Takes a special mentality.
Pity about the Rowing, we usually do well.. Apparently they sacked a right barstewart of a coach a year ago...he must have been doing something right as well as wrong?
Jason Kenny today was unreal. He wasn't in top form this week but he left them all for dead. Joint winners of sports personality of the year.
Watched 2nd half of both mens and women's marathons over weekend. Kenya winning both. Kipchoge by what seemed like half an hour! He blew field away from 30 to 35km 30 degree heat and 80 percent humidity meant a lot dropping out! Great effort by Dutch man to get silver. Belgium runner sneaked in 3rd so Kenya 's no 2 finished 4th. I'm nowhere near their level but it's really inspiring.
Yes it was entertaining, but not for the Olympics more for something like Britains got talent. And break dancing, is it a sport..
Could have pub Olympics. Pool, darts, domino's, competitive drinking be class and we'd win a lot more.
I loved the Olympics and thought Japan put on a great games considering the circumstances. One down side is the inclusion of certain sports that really shouldn’t be there.
The Modern Olympics wasn't originally intended to be solely about sport. Pierre de Coubertin wanted to combine sport and art. From 1912 to 1948, the Olympics included artistic competitions as well as sporting ones.
