I believe that alcohol played a big part in what happened. No excuse I know, but like I said, a decent chap who made some bad decisions.

Has anyone seen any famous celebs at Norwich too? For example, I walked past Mark Watson (comedian) near the ground a couple of years ago when we were in League 1. However, by the time I thought to get his autograph or a pic using my camera phone the moment was lost. Still, my missus really likes him so I tormented her for ages after that for not liking football, telling her what she was missing out on if she bothered to come.

When I got home that day I looked on his blog and he had just decided that day to go to a game, knew Norwich played good football and so took the 2 and a half hour train journey. He could have chosen anyone that day but went to good ol' Carra Rud. Quality bloke who knows his footie really well. <ok>

I used to live on Wodehouse Street, just off Silver road. Ketts Cave was my local park. Used to be there all the time. I moved to near Earlham Road in 1986, but until then I played football there a lot. If it was the same era we probably played with/against each other.

I have seen Huckerby in Homebase, once with his wife and once alone, Adam Drury in Homebase and Chris Martin in the city centre, I also saw Julie Reinger in house of Fraser (I know she isnt technically a canary but she is married to Chris Goreham, who is almost!)

We saw him do a gig at the Playhouse might have been around that time, was dead funny he kept checking his watch and saying i've got a taxi booked as I have GOT to get back to the station in time to get the last train back to London. He was very very funny though, gave me a sore neck tho as instead of coming out on the stage he came out and walked the aisles before the gig chatting to everyone (we were in the front row). Very funny and very friendly and nice chap!

Oh and he wears a green and yellow t shirt on the front page of his website!

Wifey saw Lesley Grantham but he's too scary to say anything to!

Oh I saw John Savident (played Fred Elliott in Corrie) walking from the city centre to the Theatre Royal and he was eating a pasty, ok so not a Canary (probably) but still someone famous, he saw i'd twigged who he was and gave me a look that said come near me and i'll ram this pasty up your arse... So I didn't say "Ashley I say ASHLEY" and scurried off instead.

We DID however bump into (literally) Dion Dublin in Sheringham Splash a good few years back and when a friend asked he said he'd give us a shout when he was changed and do some autographs so we didn't miss out and true to his word said i'm off to get changed now and then gave us a shout before he left enabling mates kid to get his sig - What a GREAT bloke!!
