£100m for a player who can’t make the England eleven. Says a lot about Southgate tbh. I rate Grealish more than most I think, but he’s not worth that in today’s market.

Does Grealish play the same position as Sterling and is there any mention of Sterling moving on?

thats a difficult one as there are many moving part to that question.

First what position does sterling play for Citeh? this is a matter of guardiola's preferred formation.

Second what position will grealish play for Citeh?

In theory guardiola plays a wide man "wide", the fully backs tuck in to allow attacking midfielders go find pockets so the wide men have to stay wide. Sterling is **** at this. Grealish is NOT a LW. england forced him out there. Grealish has played a nominal left side for villa but never tacked back or as a no 10.

I would say neither man fits the city mould all that well as a pure LW.

Can sterling pay anywhere else? City don't seem too pushed to put him RW or at CF.

Where might grealish play for citeh? Foden and silva have played false 9 and also as the attacking cm with de bruyne so will grealish play this? his lack of tracking would seem an issue to me. City laready had a massive issue with rodri not putting in the same efforts at no 6 so this is a recipe for a disastrous midfield imo.

Overall this certinyl looks like 2 men for one position but gaurdiola is more than capable of shoe horning players in. sterling is a worse no 9 than jesus for example and mahrez and torres have RW locked down between them.

Really this looks like 2 big egos for one position. I can't figure out anything else.

city squad

Ederson/Steffen
Walker/Cancelo Stones/Laporte Dias/Ake Zinchenko/Mendy
Rodri/Fernandinho
KDB/Gundogan Foden/Silva
Torres/Mahrez X/Jesus Sterling/Grealish

It seems to me that they are a kane shy of a full house ;)

People then have the temerity to try to say city don't spend big.

Their second team is a drop off of quality but its a drop form 1st in the table to about 4th/5th.

exactly, i love his nasty edge.
Theres that and then theres not showing humility and clapping your hands when we won the title, not to mention his embarrassing twatter antics and getting his arse handed to him on there.

Dont think Klopp would have that kind of character anywhere near our squad and im glad cos hes a little ****cunt of a man.

In summary: He can do but might not do.

Guardiola breaks the unwritten rules and confirms interest in Kane. Its all but done then ;)

I heard that levy just does not want kane in a city shirt on Day 1 at white hart toilet. Once thats done the move is on.

He says spurs are being silly and should accept their offer but apparently the rumours are true city actually paid a release clause for grealish. Absolutely hilariousl

He also says he is not thinking about messi.

and he's also shat on silva by saying he wants to go along with a few others. (probabaly lesser lights)

mr guardiola has already described grealish as a no 10.

perhaps he thinks to replace KDB and play sterling and mahrez wide and kane up top.

After all. The guy is aging out and getting injured who knows what ideas city have for a team of swan divers.

I'm less worried about other teams signings than I am about lack of our transfer action.

Psg literally fell over themselves when they heard messi was available.

I feel for the guy.

Not sure how he's going to survive on 25mil after tax per year for 2 years. Bread line that. Barely 500k per week.

I'd love to know what his signing on fee is.

Lets all repeat the FSG motto.... 'Covid has hit every club financially'

Its a shame that nobody has told the other clubs in the league this.

Or alternatively klopp is happy with his squad.

Personally this all goes back to opinion on players. Your opinion might be that shaqiri, minamino and origi are pants.

My opinion is my faith in firmino is not what it was, he has slowed up. Our best 11 is not too bad. There's a fair amount of second 11 talent but we are a couple short.

I would say konate, gomez, tsimikas, jota, kelleher and milner are very useful while Jones and elliot are reasonable kids with a chance to improve. One more cb and one more attacker and lose the shaqiri, origi and minaminos and its be interesting.

The unknown nature of thiagos injury is worrying.
