The Government are introducing new laws that give cyclists priority.
My cyclist brother and many friends get abused every day from irate motorists.
The new laws will increase abuse to cyclists, the government are asking for trouble.
Don't tell my brother but cyclists do my head in.
They should only be allowed on the roads between 5am to 6am and 10pm to 11pm.....that could work!! :emoticon-0103-cool:

I opened this up to expecting you to say you’re looking forward to Laura Kenny in the velodrome. <laugh>

Cyclist annoy me especially when they know they are holding up traffic. Even tractors pull over some times to allow the queues to pass.
I get even more annoyed when they ride two or more abreast

A mate on top Mendip to day was stopped by a 4×4 across and 3 Asians got out, 1 carrying a Baseball bat.
Reckoned he went quicker than Cavendish back to a farmhouse. Called the police but they'd scarpered.
Ps - his bike is worth 8grand.

Hmm.....3 Asians eh - are you sure? They were probably immigrants.

They weren't after his bike, they'd likely stolen the 4x4 and just wanted directions to the nearest benefits office.

We know you think your more important than the rest of vaccintaed populace but what makes you so imporant you want your own road?
Sorry who said anything about being more important, make it up as you go along........but motorists pay for the roads via taxes, unlike cyclists..oh and it was a joke

The day that cyclists start obeying the laws of the road that the rest of us have to adhere to, stop riding on the pavements, actually stop for red lights, and pay their way in road tax will be when they get my blessing.

There is no road tax and if there Is i havent been paying it for our car!!

and we pay for vehicle emissions. our family car has emissions so its charged my bike doesnt no charge and the VED doesnt pay for the roads either.

With the Marvin bloody Rees ban of privately owned diesel vehicles from the central parts of Bristol looming (which I drove to very rarely, although pre Covid I was commuting from Whitchurch to Aztec West via Cabot Circus) I very very reluctantly gave up my lovely 2008 Ford Mondeo Ghia TDi with 125,000 miles on it for a Ford Focus with a petrol engine that had just 12k on it. The only good thing about it from my perspective is that the car tax, VED or whatever went down from nearly £27 a month to £13.
The Focus is the first petrol powered car I've owned since 1999.
