I friend of mine, who deals with planing permission for Harrow Council has said that the new stadium on the scrubs is a go ahead. Loftus Road, the shops and the old springbok will be redeveloped. This bloke is not like me, he is sensible adult.
Cant find original post on my phone...so will look later to merge, but will change title But why Harrow, they are not involved. It is H&F, and possibly Brent on the access roads surely
Beth, I know it's nothing to do with Harrow. He said to me about QPR new stadium getting the go ahead. When I said the Linford Christie stadium he said that's it and said about the shops and pub.
Maybe in 100 years! I give up with the new stadium stuff now... Too many false dawns. I have never know something that has taken so long. The pyrimids were built quicker.
Funny enough I was down that way last night at Hammersmith Hospital and did look over and dreamt how our new stadium might look if it was built there…..loads of building being done around there right now anyway…new flats or hospital accommodation I think
I have said this before. 55 years ago walking down scrubs lane with my dad...I asked my dad why the stadium wasn't there ( about where the linford Christie stadium is now. Dad said...it should be shouldn't it I really believe it will be there....and I will get to go there
Excellent! I really hope that this gets done quickly. I love LR, but to grow and compete with Ruperts and Scum we really need a stadium that will attract more supporters. This year gets bettter and better.
Keep dreaming, they can come true. Can you also please dream of Dickie lifting the Championship Trophy at the end of this season? Thanks Staines.
It was just the other day that Lee Hoos was interviewed on the official site and said that we are no where near a new stadium, probably not in the next ten years. However, maybe there have been certain developments recently with the planning that would have changed his tune if the interview was done more recently. I think we should all not think about it and not expect anything at all, and let any announcement be a surprise.
