You do get the line, "There was interest in me from elsewhere, but as soon as I knew Sunderland were interested saw the training ground etc, then I knew this was place for me"

Also, their enquires will be used by the agent to massage the players ego, and serve the agent well further down the line when a deal is being made as he'll make it seem like player and agent deserve the money because of said 'interest' even though for the agent that may have been a 30 second phone call, or quick text.

Selling clubs will always want the best fee they can get, players will always want the highest wages they can get... agents get a % of this so will fight for high figures... not surprising... then with our wealthy owner, it is hardly surprising that perhaps the sort of players we want to be incoming may well be at the last minute of the window.

Patience is not something I have in abundance..

Ipswich about to sign George Edmundson from Rangers for those that are interested. Sounds like they are trying to get 3 in this week.

It should be a buyers market, as if the selling club, (if they want to sell) drag their feet/take the mick, you just move on to the next target.
