To be honest though, from the video of when the doors were being ‘stormed’….most of the ones who I saw didn’t seem to fit the general description of your average England football thug…..seemed to be a lot of opportunists trying to get in, one way or another. The ones who seemed to fit the bill more were the ones dishing out blows TO the invaders (including a young lad who got belted.
Agree with what you say about the family atmosphere now at most Wembley matches….
this one even took a spare shirt

Thought about it but all booked up round here, couldn’t even get in at the pub up the road where we know the landlord/owner well, plus I had a big night out on Friday and am still in the old gits recovery zone, and the boy was on an all nighter yesterday featuring the (brief) MacGregor fight and is now having a nap pre match - wise move seeing as he is still on his first 3 month probation at work and might get brownie points for turning up at least in functioning mode tomorrow.

My self distraction techniques might have backfired big time though. We are thinking, vaguely, of moving house to the country sometime, probably next year, or the year after. But yesterday the wife saw something she liked the look of and arranged a viewing today, and I thought that’s a good way to spend a few hours, obviously just curiosity, we are not in buying mode yet. Now I have the distinct feeling that an expensive purchase might be on the cards……

I will be drinking excellent Italian red wine starting now and continuing until whenever necessary.

COME ON ENGLAND!!!!
Well look at that. Seems we actually are buying this house I agreed to see as a distraction from thinking about the England v Italy game. And in the process make it more complicated to get to HQs in the season I decide to get an ST again. Genius.

You just need to get yourself a pied a terre in or around the Capital, you know somewhere for the weekend.........

I might encourage my son to get on the property ladder in Port Glasgow, which I assume to be ‘characterful’, as the £30 a month mortgage would not impact too much on his drinking budget. Same flat in Shepherds Bush would be well north of £500k I’m guessing.

Property is a bizarre market in this country.
