    Where is everyone?

I presume that because the results are positive to date, it is difficult to question decessions made by the club, manager and players - hence no discussions!

Does this mean that when/if results turn bad we will all be back on having a go, or are they gone for good?

    We want you back!!!!

I generally don't post during the day on weekdays as I'm either at work or training.

I agree with StokieLad. Wait until our next away game, that'll make things more interesting on here.

  3. Ey up Smithers lad! Two problems for me at the moment:

    1. That dreaded 4 letter word....WORK....have been travelling a fair bit and when I do get into the office they watch us like hawks.....barstewards. Ok it pays the bills I know.
    2. That other dreaded 4 letter word.....WIFE.....doesn't like me blogging at home too much. To be fair, she is a season ticket too at Stoke and was once a fully paid up ref, so I never have the 'what's offside?' type questions to deal with ;-)

No, not difficult to question things at the moment. But, given that we are doing well on a number of fronts, I still share you concern regarding Huthy. Yes, I know TP has to rotate the squad now and yes I do remember what happened in the Cup Final when Huthy was not fully fit and we didn't really have a credible alternative...BUT.....in no way shape or form should he play at full back.

When I watched Besiktas take him apart at close range I feared the worst that night. Somehow we survived and prospered.

Is he carrying a knock that we don't know about?

Bit of a mystery really. Anyway, got to go before sir spots me! UTP!!!

    Cheers PTO

  4. Sorry that was fairly unintelligible I know, keep looking over my shoulder for sir!

Stokielad is spot on. Wait until the next away game. Granted that outside of the top 4, everyone in the Prem has problems picking up points away from home. Just don't understand how one Stoke appears to play at home (fully committed and giving battering ram performances) and then a totally different team appears to play away (roll over and die).

Regarding Murphy - he has played for some good teams (Liverpool, Spuds) but was'nt good enough to hold down a regular place, hence why he was shipped out to Fulham.
They suit him down to the ground, hold the ball quite well without actually threatening to do much with it, and when the ref's back is turned, have a dig here, throw a ball there, and squeal like a little girl the moment somebody gets too close for comfort.
I detest watching Fulham more than any other team in the league - they suffocate the life out of everyone with there 25 passes before the ball moves 8 yards routine. Even the mighty Baggies finish there passing manouvres with an effort on goal.Something Murphy's mob should try and remember - if you don't shoot, then you won't score.

Actually that's also something the Welsh Wizard should think about when we play away. The Oatcake on Saturday pointed out that we concede on averag 1.5 goals per away game - kind of knocks holes in his sit tight and hope we can sneak a 0-0, or lucky 1-0 approach doesnt it? Clearly TP can't grasp intricate maths like 1 is greater than zero, hence our away shambles.

There you go, normal service is resumed.

Great post re Fulham remarks.. I tried to ASK kindly their oppinion on Danny squeeky clean Murphy and was shot down. NOT ONE has mentioned him in their posts since the game. Apart from along the lines of... WE know what Danny said might still gripe with Stoke fans..

Yes, TOO ******* right it does.

I also saw that Ten reasons why we don't win away Swervy.. <ok> and it said Bolton had a worse record then we do. <yikes>

I think you were right the first time Smithers. What most people on here do best is moan, it's no fun when we're winning and playing well.

OUR club, OUR RIGHT to moan.........................simples!!. You seem to just moan about everyone elses posts on here and never actually discuss stoke. All you ever say is look where we are now and where we were 5 years ago blah blah blah. If we become content the club will become stagnant and sterile. We need to keep trying to improve the club (and the standard of football we play). It was a great result and performance the other night and we rightly won 3-0.

We are away on sunday so I expect Pulis to park the bus and hopefully we can get a 1-0 defeat LOL. If we go for it I honestly believe we have a good chance of getting something, this is the best chance we have had in years of getting a result at arsenal but how Pulis sets the team up for away games doesnt fill me with anyconfidence. I really hope I am proved wrong!!!.

There is a big difference between moaning and consturctive comments! Great result last night, first half we were really positive.. ref ruined the game hence, I think we all nearly fell asleep 2nd half... game was won, rest up for the Arsenal game on Sunday.

Ric, I would also go for it this weekend. I still think they are a very good side but their defence is still suspect. As usual, we've nothing to lose everything to gain.

    Morning all,
Agreed, let's have a bash (not literally) at the emirates, they are NOT unbeatable BUT, I won't say it as a certain poster will no doubt have a go!!

Well said Ricc, he will probably go away and sulk for a while, that's his usual procedure.

And we all know what he thinks of me - the Devil's Spawn for questioning St Pulis.

I love MTA's keeper, can we play against him every week!!

Are we going to appeal against Cameron's red card??

Finally the other red card was fantastic, its even on YouTube so I'm told!

    Shalom

    Afternoon all

Nick, I think at the time of Jeromes sending off, some of us thought it was a straight red? Seem that it was not. I would certainly try and appeal it. But, I think? as it's two yellows you can't. I was also imformed that, any yellows picked up during the mini-league Europa cup were wiped clean if we go on from there? Still thought the ref was way too quick showing cards on Thursday night he was clueless IMO.

Huthy, welcome back mate.. WHAT did you do to deserve a week off? And Sunday, let's FOR ONCE go and attack Arsenal.
