Big man Fab seems pretty certain on this one

Anyone watch enough Spanish football to know anyone about Bryan Gil? I’m going to assume small and technically gifted and I believe he’s a winger or attacking mid but apart from that…

20-year-old left-winger who shares an agent with David Silva and Santi Cazorla.
Spent last season on loan at Eibar playing on either wing, as they finished last in La Liga and were relegated.
Got 4 goals and 3 assists, but seems to have plenty of hype surrounding him, for some reason.
Does look a bit Silva-ish and got called up to the Spain squad, so maybe he's got something going?

Have a highlights clip of him largely beating players easily, then going back and doing it again:

    Obligatory **** music warning.

He also got 6 bookings. - combine that with his goals/assist record, and he’s basically…..

He definitely looks like an English player from the 70s, though:

Various journalists are jumping on this now and Reguilon liked Romano's post, which is interesting.
They would've spent time at Sevilla together, which might be another reason to sign him.

I can get on board with this. Typical silky baller in that stereotypical Spanish playmaker/ winger mould. Think he’ll be a player the fans will enjoy watching if he settles and gets chances.

Good move for Lamela too. Sevilla’s a top side.

I can’t get excited yet, and I don’t think I will be able to for a few months.
At the back of my mind I can’t help but think about Baldini and 2013.
I’m praying this won’t be a similar scenario of incomings.

I'm sensing a cross between Jack Clarke and Gio Dos Santos....I do hope that I'm very wrong.

I like Lamela, he has never quite reached the heights that we hoped for but he has provided some memorable moments

But if Gil is at least his equal as a player and can stay fit, then he is an upgrade.

Don’t worry, Don Paratici is gonna rectify for all the mistakes Baldini made.

Clarke’s gonna come good. I’ve got faith in him. There’s absolutely a player in there, just needs the right guidance and minutes. Hope Nuno keeps him around for the ECL.

I think Levy would have to go into witness protection if he ever sold Kane to Chelsea.

Whatever happens...and I think that Kane's leaving, I cannot see us selling him to 'them'.

If we do, Levy will need to borrow Fonseca's Zorro outfit, if he's planning on attending games next season.

€25m being spend to replace Lamela, which is money we need for a CB or 2 as a priority. Yet we keep hearing how “fees are an issue”… apparently not!
Does make me wonder if Harry will be sold. Jeez it’s just got even more “2013Baldini”. <yikes>

My Shelf memory, Real Madrid , I was in the Shelf but I'm not sure if my feet touched the ground for the whole match,
Also being hit with one of those tomato shaped sauce bottles , thought I was bleeding when I touched my head but it was ketchup ( not even Heinz )

    <laugh> That's funny...as opposed to Clemence's error.

I've got some less good memories too. Like when I took my 11 year old brother on The Shelf for the '78 NLD. After their last goal went in, he was caught in the surge to get at 'you know who'. As soon as I was called to "the medical treatment area in The East Stand" over the tannoy, I feared that we were royally ****ed...I went there praying that it wasn't too bad, particularly as my old man had banned me from taking him to the game...but my brother begged me to take him. That was one long, long walk

Of course he'd broken his leg - **** my luck. When we got home (on public transport, as my dad put the phone down on me when I rang him from the hospital), the old man tried to beat the **** out of me.

Christmas wasn't very happy that year...<laugh>

Yes this part worried me too. Even with his injury record and having a year left on his contract, I'd like to think he'd fetch at least £10m in the market. So this Gil kid is costing us north of £32m plus add-ons for a position that isn't really a priority, unless Lucas is also on his way out?
