A Premier League footballer has been arrested on suspicion of child sex offences.

The 31-year-old man, who has not been named for legal reasons, was detained on Friday by Greater Manchester Police.

In a statement, the player's club confirmed he had been suspended and added it would "continue supporting the authorities with inquiries and would not be commenting further".

The footballer has since been bailed pending further inquiries.

Everton have announced that they have suspended a player. Don't say it is related to this case but...
 
I can't remember his name. Used to play for Sunlan. He got done for child sex offences, but the girl was 15 and consenting.

While rightly illegal, I didn't see that as peado. Maybe this is the same kind of thing.

By the definition of *****phile Adam Johnson wasn't one. He didn't have sex with her either but got a longer jail sentence than a lot who have done far worse.

His mrs has come out and said it’s not him!

During the weekend, a report broke that an unnamed Premier League football star was caught and arrested for texting underage girls for sexual purposes. Since the allegation was still under investigation, the name of the player and the club he played for were not named.

I guess he’s innocent until proven Gylfi.

He plead guilty to a charge of 'sexual activity with a child' and a charge of 'grooming',he also had 'animal pornography ' on his lap top.

Weird ****er if you ask me!!
