Thanks Somerset but we have to give a shout out to the Hawks. Absolutely unbelievable the way they gave themselves the chance with that chase today.

 

Essex came from absolutely nowhere in 2019 to qualify (which included tying a match with us, which put them through instead of us). And they went all the way to win it...

Wow we won our last 5 T20 games. That thumping of Somerset was so vital for our RR. We were down and out. How the **** have we got through?

I really don't think they will, but if the ECB call up Vince in place of (for example) Sibley...

 

He's in the form of his life right now, I can't remember him nicking off to slip much recently.

 

Root (Yorks), Crawley (Kent), Buttler (Lancs), Woakes (Warks), Archer (Sussex) are probably the ones at the most risk of missing the QFs, off the top of my head.

Maybe Bairstow. Maybe Bess.

Overton and Robinson maybe too, if an enlarged squad is named.

 

Quite difficult when there are none.

 

I wouldn't begrudge Vincey another shot for England but if he gets called up and not play again i'll be spitting feathers...

 

I would imagine that Short and CDG will both be available. With the QFs being the midweek after the 100 finishes, they'll both still be around.

 

That would be a big help, Short's innings today was pure class and CDG adds so much to the team.
