I I would love to have heard your comments if Stewart was still in charge with the signings that’s been made.
Or this Blackburn fan they spoke to might be their version of Wolfy but just was too polite to keep using the word ****E.
Don't want to set the bed-wetters off but I reckon Pritchard has an injury. Not been in any of the videos or photos from training. And they featured Cory Evans immediately. Based on his reputation you'd think they'd highlight him if possible, so I don't think he's there. Could be any reason of course. But not encouraging.
We could be 25 points clear and he'd still get some grief from some of the numpties who follow our club! However,if we're 5 points clear after the Cheltenham match he'll be doing something right and most of us will be very happy.
The support base seems as hostile about transfers as I can remember at the moment. It shouldn't be needed but a SAFC Unfiltered style podcast update with Speakman would probably help calm things down a bit.
I think the problem is KLD takeover gave up hope. Combine that with the behind the scenes changes, appointments, upgrades, modernisation, etc. and I think people were hoping we'd blow everyone away in the summer. The issue is KLD is planning long term, but after so long in L1 we don't have the patience anymore and need a quick fix as well as a long term plan to satisfy people. Time will tell if we're able to do both..... I'm hoping we'll spend a little later in the window and don't want to inflate fees/wages etc. by showing our hand too early (not expecting a fortune, but hoping we'll make a few quality additions later). I'm happy to wait and see, and trust the new plans which overall have been sensible and long overdue, I just hope for the sake of people's nerves and blood pressure we get out of this league this season and can continue with the long term plan.
People need to hang on and let the club be run by those who can Far to many arm chair managers who know nowt
The lack of relatively expensive incomings has reinforced the belief amongst some that we're in for another window of freebies, crocks and loans. Whilst I don't have any sympathy with this view, I do get that after recent seasons some cannot see any optimism. They will have to be patient. I don't think Speakman could say anything at the minute marra...we'll have to wait until the season starts and the window closes before we're able to make any judgement and for him to give us the club's perspective on things.
Just a re-iteration of: "we are relaxed, plenty of deals in progress and options from our original list that are waiting on other deals before manifesting" etc
Yes,but the ne'er do wells will just that as more stalling. Those of us with a functioning brain have assumed that's where we are. It's not really saying anything.....I don't get the point of him doing it.
Its ridiculous that he has to, but I do think it will settle some of the nerves. At the moment those bed wetters are fed up of hearing it from other fans. I do think hearing it from the club will have a calming effect on some. As long as its not excuses such as "tough market". Would need to be kept strictly positive and optimistic. The issue with everything everyone is hearing from the club re transfers at the moment is its a depressing pessimistic view. LJ saying the market is stagnant etc has made people think our recruitment team are struggling. If some sort of optimistic holding statement came out, even if not actually saying anything new like you say, I do think it will calm some of the idiots down.
I don't know anything either to be fair. People like communications though. And for the first time since KLD joined, communication has gone relatively quiet. I know its not important but even things like the kit - they said early July, and nothing since. And it's not early July any more.
