Someone got glassed, but thankfully, it didn't break. Four other multiple fights. I was watching outside on a telly on a table in the smoking area. Sat with the bloke who rents the barn from Alex, the landlord. He's a drummer in a band and he had a snare drum with him. ****ing **** was on it all match and three twats with vuvuzelas were horning almost constantly. Nearly went home at half time, but stuck it out <laugh>
Seriously, far be it from me to advocate violence in any way - but I thought the idea was to break it before the assault?

Maybe RHC should invite them both back again so they can do it properly this time?

Though I thought it was more with a bottle where you broke it first? I admit to not being too experienced in barroom brawls.

Having experienced a few barroom brawls in my time, though luckily never having been dragged into them, I believe the etiquette is smash the bottle before use, but hit with an unbroken glass so that it breaks on impact. I can remember the old dimple style pint glasses being withdrawn as they proved too useful in barroom contretemps.

I bow to your greater knowledge on this subject. My own experience of such occurrences thankfully being limited to the filmic variety.

Bottles are far harder to smash that just that and pint glasses too.

If you got hit with one full on it's more than enough to kill if you get hit just so.

It's incredibly difficult to smash the bottom of a bottle and not be left with just a handful of glass.

I've also witness someone getting a plastic "safety glass" smashed in there face, I think a normal glass would have done less damage.
