Haven’t seen much of him, but what I have seen he hasn’t impressed me all that much. Is a position we need cover in so hopefully he is good and I’ve just seen him on off days

Just got a message back from my Man Ure supporting brother in law who has said he is brilliant! That will do for me. Welcome Brandon and COYS!

He's reasonable. He should improve.

I don’t really understand this move from a Man U perspective. We have KWP who is one of our better players and have just signed a LB, so you would assume Williams isn’t going to be first choice. They surely want him to be first choice if he is out on loan.

Sure he would get more opportunities here than he would if he stayed at Man U, but there is probably another club where he would be seen as a starter which they would prefer for his development.

Maybe this is why they are playing hardball on the money side of things as it’s not really an ideal move for them

Given Williams can play both RB and LB he would get plenty of football here. What if Perraud struggles to adapt to the PL at first? Williams could then slot in at LB. And then when KWP needs a rest he can fill in there.

Yes those are reasons WE would want him, but if another PL team (I saw Norwich linked) where maybe he would be first choice immediately that would surely be more desirable from a Man U perspective.

Maybe Williams rejected Norwich. It sounds like Williams is keen on the move here. What the player wants is also important.

We’ll have to wait and see, loan fees aren’t uncommon, what was it Villa paid Chelsea for Barkley loan last season? And also Loftus-Cheek to Fulham they wanted his 150k a week wages paid in full which we obviously couldn’t match.

Loans from other PL teams don’t look like they are particularly cheap unless it is someone the loaner club really don’t want (Walcott for example)

Perhaps MU would regard our coaching and playing style as more suited to the player's development.

Given the intensity of the role in our side perhaps we intend to rotate our fullbacks to maintain their energy levels?
