I know you haven’t been vaccinated but have you seen one of these NHS vaccination cards? If they were ever intended as vaccine passports then they are the shoddiest job ever. The only identifier is your name, which, on mine is written by hand, and then the dates and ids of the two vaccine doses. On mine its been typed on but on my wife’s it is again hand written.

It would be the easiest passport ever to copy, change or make up a fake one from scratch. In fact I am concerned that immigration here won’t accept it as proof of being vaccinated, a requirement now for both residents, citizens and any other allowed visitors, to leave or enter the country. I am going to have to ask my UK doctor to issue me a letter, for which the bastards charged me 15quid last time and I had to write it for him to sign, so I can be sure I can get back here.

I don't think the cards were meant for ID of vaccinations, were they?

If I want to prove I've been vaccinated, I just prove it from my phone, no paperwork required. I can do it from the NHS app. You can either show it from your phone, or download a pdf copy or recieve an offline copy by email. All for free.

That article he quoted is referring to those cards. Will have to get that NHS app - tried to download it here but it says I am not in the right country! Does it show any other ID apart from your name?

Funnily enough it allowed me to download the NHS track and trace app. I didn’t get pinged once while here though.

The NHS app gives you access to your doctor records and contains all your personal information but for covid it has a seperate section with in it, right at the top of the page as you access it, it says...

Get your NHS COVID Pass, you tap that, then tap continue, then tap travel, then tap covid 19 records found (show details) - All it gives is your name, date of birth, and full details of your covid vaccine, where, when and loads of other the dogs bolloxs relating to it. It also has a 2d barcode.

Sounds a lot but it takes less than a minute to access.
