Funny how so many 'slebs' and useless politicians get tickets, some of them wouldn't know Raheem Sterling from the Pound Sterling...

I try not to be bitter but sadly I am…….the ****s never bothered with football when it was unfashionable. Now they think they are England’s number 1 fans

Agree. For many years I did the footwork for England games (sometimes not even a full stadium). Now I can't get tickets but Corden/farage and others can? Tw2ts.

In the 80’s when we were beating Turkey 8-0 and had crowds of 9,000 to see us play Norn Ireland at Wembley…..you couldn’t give the tickets away. All changed after Euro 96 when it all suddenly became cool to be a football fan. Luckily I was in the top 21 fans on points in the England Travel Club and got 4 tickets for every game…could have sold them for a massive profit but took my brother and my mates at cost (even though my dads mate offered me thousands for my semi tickets)
I’m still living in the past like most old gits, but wouldn’t have missed that for the world.

Same as Staines, I still have all the stubs from so crap games where the stadium was half full.
It also saddens me how over the last 2-3 days people have been selling tickets for ridiculous amounts of money. No real England fan would ever sell a cup final ticket... or is that just me?

Totally agree with you there Ellers. Don’t mind passing on an unused ticket for cost price but making a profit is absolutely inexcusable and any England fan who did that should be burned alive.
Used to love seeing touts getting done over for their tickets…..saw loads get done at France 98 in St Etienne….served the ****s right

Didn't miss a game at Wembley from 79 to 85 when I left home. Was with my old man at the weekend and he's still got all the programmes and ticket stubs from Home Internationals, WC and Euro qualifiers from those days, and also the trip we did in '96, getting to all the grounds and seeing all the teams. The final of Euro 96 was £50 - no idea what the face value of a ticket for this years final is, but touts and scammers are making a killing - ****s.

Doesn't matter what they do the' leeches' always fill their boots. Some of the ticket prices for these games back before Covid were way over the top from official sources. The postponement has probably made things worse for regular fans like us...

After the stress of the last match, has anybody else pre-booked a bed at the local cardio unit for tonight?

Thought about it but all booked up round here, couldn’t even get in at the pub up the road where we know the landlord/owner well, plus I had a big night out on Friday and am still in the old gits recovery zone, and the boy was on an all nighter yesterday featuring the (brief) MacGregor fight and is now having a nap pre match - wise move seeing as he is still on his first 3 month probation at work and might get brownie points for turning up at least in functioning mode tomorrow.

My self distraction techniques might have backfired big time though. We are thinking, vaguely, of moving house to the country sometime, probably next year, or the year after. But yesterday the wife saw something she liked the look of and arranged a viewing today, and I thought that’s a good way to spend a few hours, obviously just curiosity, we are not in buying mode yet. Now I have the distinct feeling that an expensive purchase might be on the cards……

I will be drinking excellent Italian red wine starting now and continuing until whenever necessary.

    COME ON ENGLAND!!!!
