England team.

Pickford. Born loser. Flapping on the big day
Walker well used to winning. Played better but focused like a sweeper.
Stones same even if sometimes a bench warmer.
Maguire. No mark.
Shaw. Loser
Rice. Zero experience.
Phillips zero experience.
Mount. Cl winner. Started his learning under tuchel.
Sterling. Mercenary serial.medal collector.
Kane. Knows what it's like to lose, thanks to us ;)
Saka. Knows how to lose as well.

Compare that to the italians, they have a mix but serious experience.

6 of that ream started the last WC SF plus 3 other squad members played so fairly experienced at tournament football .

I mean its be fairly easy rely on proven winners here with henderson, trent (tragic lack of trust and injury) chilwell, mount, sterling etc for people who know what a big day is like.

I loved the description of pickford, whoever cam up with sand down his shorts is a genius. He is that jumpy and panicky he is as likely do another assault or an origi goal as save stuff.

Hopefully the no risk approach takes any sting out of the italians and we can win this in the 90.

The last thing we need is pens v donnamura

Kane is actually a 3 time loser you are right. Cl final, league cup final and so in world Cup. Thanks for clarifying.

You are then right that rice and Phillips have not even that level of experience to fall back on.

Maguire played in world cupl so and lost in europa final so he's a two time loser.

Pickford is just a flapper, he again only has that world Cup losing experience.

Compared to Stones, sterling, Henderson, walker, Mount, chilwell who know what it takes to win a big final these guys who are used to losing or have never seen a big day are guys who can freeze up.

Italy then

Donnarumma, another no mark in terms of big days
Di Lorenzo Italian cup winner with napoli.
Bonucci just the 9serie a titles. 5 cups. But importantly the loss in 2012 in euros
Chiellini as above 9 titles, 5 cups and the same loss in 2012
Palmieri the weak link as a reservecoming in?
Barella series a winner and europa runner up.
Jorginho Italian cup, europa league, cl winner. The playmaker but very pressable. Mounts target.
Verratti knows who to win v inferior teams in France. Many titles but whatever
Chiesa won coppa this season young player and critical how he reacts
Immobile Italian cup winner, 3 time Italian golden Boot winner.
insigne another with 2 Italian cups. Very experienced


It's clear Italy have serial winners and a mix of guys who've snatched what they can as non juve players.

The weakness in Italy will be at the back with pace and whether they have the energy

England's strength is taking no risk and getting shaw and sterling in positions to exploit opponents.

Denmark imo played with 10men as dolberg never put a footwear England bar a couple times the ball was played right to him, Italy have 3 real forwards.

If we sit off we will play to their strengths, if we start fast like the semi final due to the crowd and all that good stuff imo that's our best chance.

I'd beak the game into 3rds.

First 30 one team could blow the other away. Italy did it to Belgium. We looked good v Croatia where there was lots of space and we were good in the sf. Spain killed Italy for 30mins

The middle 30 imo we look turgid all tournament as things slow down. Italy fought back v Spain and showed their class here.

Last 30 we have scored goals like v Germany and Ukraine imploded. This is where Southgate is finally convinced to are a sub by his assistant and sometimes its grealish who does better but Southgate simply doesn't trust him defensively.


If an extra 30 is played imo England can kill the Italians. I can't see them liking another 30 but I can see them diving a lot more than Denmark and breaking up play.

If pens donnamura is looking better than pickford for me. I can't even see 5 pen takers for England. Kane, sterling and walker is my feeling. None 100% certs to reply on. After that the likes of Mount will prob be gone so I expect tripper to be on and thr disaster of Henderson trying
 
So Kane js a 3 time loser but immobile is a 3 time golden boot runner? Seems fair comparison given Kane has also won multiple golden boots at club level and the last World Cup.
 
Basically henderson needs to play but not take pens and then this will be in the bag.

Sickening the likes of kane and sterling cockwombles would be ideal.
