They had 10 men on the pitch and our boys knew we’d always have that spare man to keep the ball away from them.

We need to be better on Sunday like, that level of performance won’t beat Italy.

It’s going to be well tough against Italy.

They are ready for every game

We have a solid defence and we have got pure pace…apart from that I give Italy all the advantages. Our defence was tested last night by our toughest opponents so far…I’m expecting a busy night on Sunday.

We will win/lose imo depending on how Southgate navigates through the game. We have the better individuals but they have so much experience in their team. Chiellini ****housery coming up.

Italy are always tough and we never beat them, but...this is not a great Italian side. Only Chiellini would get in one of those, and he's older than me (well almost; him and Bonucci together are).

Denmark were always going to be tough, they're all 7 foot tall and they're all natural athletes.

I would say we were…they were cream crackered by the 75th minute and Schmeichal had a worldie.

Italy will handle the occasion better than us…that’s my worry for Sunday.

I'd say we were, but just about.

We got away with a marginally lower level of performance last night, hopefully it's another kick in the bollocks thing (like Scotland) and it means we sharpen up for Italy. And get the formation in place.

Sunday is going to be a great game. It might not be the best in terms of load of goals etc. but it's going to have everything.

On another note, I think he was harsh on Grealish last night.

It didn't seem necessary to me to do that, he could have taken someone else off. Give Sterling a breather for instance.

I doubt Grealish will kick up a stink but I bet he's at least upset by it.

* I apologise unreservedly for daring to query anything Gareth might have done*

Yes don’t do that. @brb will get abusive if we question the greatness of England

I've never once said England were great, far from it. I'm also not making a prediction for the final, I'm just going to enjoy it. Nor to my memory have I challenged @Chief view on the topic, maybe I have and forgotten, fook knows, but if I haven't then why you tagging him in?

Yeah we were by no means brilliant last night but just about did enough. Was a standard cagey semi final really with not huge amounts of quality on either side.

Buzzing for Sunday. Can't see many goals in it so another tight tense affair.

I predict it will be a 1-0 win. Not sure which way it will go, heart says England....head says the same.

Denmark were tough, What difference would Ericsson have made?

I definitely recall a ding dong on here regarding the quality of England

can’t quite remember which posters it were like lol
