Reckon it could be a scrappy one, everybody expecting us to walk it , bit of a comedown after the high of Tuesday in a near empty stadium I’m guessing? Still confident we will come out on top 1-0
I have no idea what will happen, but I am confident we will be more positive. We had 2 proper attempts at Germany from open play on Tuesday and scored them both. Before the goals, we looked nervous and hesitant. If we take the positives from the Germany game, we should be fine against Ukraine. Massive game it being an away game in practice.
I travelled the length of Ukraine via train from Kiev to Odessa. Had a diversion to Moldova and a country called Transnistria (Russian enclave which everyone denies exists). Fascinating country.
Like with Germany we should have enough to beat them, as was finally proved against our last opponents. But as we know in knockout football anything had happen, but as long as we play well then we should come out on top.
I saw a nice facebook posting from Wally Jude, who many will know greeting players and supporters at both Ferriby and City. He said he told Harry Maguire when he was playing for the U23's at Ferriby that he would play for England one day. Maybe an obvious statement, but typical of Wally to be always positive and have something nice to say.
