The funny thing was a few months ago when the usual suspects were knocking Hancock I said something like “He is dedicated and goes the extra mile as he works late in the office with his team”.

Priti Patel will introduce laws next week to enable the government to send asylum seekers abroad for processing as she opens talks with Denmark over sharing a centre in Africa.

The Nationality and Borders Bill will include a provision to create an offshore immigration processing centre for asylum seekers for the first time.

Labour putting out leaflets in Batley & Spen that attack the Conservatives for having diplomatic relations with India. Not a dogwhistle, but a foghorn.

The media tell me the new Health Secretary wants an early relaxation of controls. Good news. They also tell me he is a lockdown sceptic. Strange then that he did not vote against the measures when MPs had the chance to do so.

 

Its all getting a bit messy over in batley. Fake leaflets from a few parties doing the rounds. This is brittish politics for you. Disgraceful, embarrassing and weak.

 

And it's never happened before? I remember in my younger days some of the leaflets doing the rounds were unsavoury.
The Tories will win anyway.
Saying that agree there is no need for any racist leaflets. You get factions in all parties. They wouldn't have been sanctioned by Starmer.

Using your private email account to conduct government business isn't a crime in itself, but neither is walking into a bank wearing a balaclava. However, in both cases you have to expect that a crime is going to be committed.
