I could say the same out a lot of players. I think Joe gomez can take a screamer btw. We will never see it outside training.

Only watched from just before half time. I couldn't fault Portugal's effort but like Liverpool, no end product. R Sanches played really well.

It's amazing when refs are not buying the crap how ineffective fernandes is. No pens, no space to do anything he feels like.
Portugal dont even consider him a starter. They sent him on for b.silva on about the hour and he really didnt do much.

Croatia v Spain? Neither in their "prime" but the game is in copenhagen so is as neutral as any venue could be i guess. Croatia seem to not have much goal threat but spain just drew with sweden and poland who are probabaly still not as good as croatia. the 5-0 v slovaka can't really be taken into account.
then france v switzerland ought to be a big win for france. Ought to be but the france team have not quite opened up yet. the swiss I think are half decent but only half decent.
Yesterday had the one big shock of the tournament.

The thing I liked was he's not easily pushed off the ball. I have no idea how he plays for his club so I hope we don't go for anyone off a good Euro performance. I don't think Klopp will either.
My simplistic review showed he barely played for his club due to injury and bench warming
France to win, Shaqiri with another stunner (he loves internationals). Can't call the other game. Would a Croatia win be classed as a shock win because that spot's already taken.

A few more genuine competitors for places would improve us. Jota has.
Now wijnaldum has gone the midfield is worse as thiago and henderson have no competition really. Milner and jones are not there.
If renato is good enough fine but if hes another but just cos his value is lower than it ought to be then its ot improving our first team.
Imo konate was a good buy. We now have 11 good men plus gomez and jota/mane and maybe even matip but then its players who wouldn't get into any other top 8 first team as options.

It just feels a couple of real options short if renato sanches is one and we can sell williams, wilson, shaqiri, grujic, minamino and origi for 10-15 each (a lot of work to do there) then we should be looking to bring in mbappe for the lads and a midfielder.
Then all they'd have to whine about is lack of rb cover.
