:O I thought you had to be in the group to be able to read as well. OMG what is the point in having a private group if it is not really private? :S

Checked all settings and there are three types of groups: Public, Moderated and Invite Only. I don't know why but I have thought and assumed it was a private group since I created it. I guess we can just go back to writing everything here in this thread :S
If you can edit the name of the group, we could always remove the word GPRO, as that's probably what's directing search engines to us. That way you'd have to try really hard (or know the group exists) to find it. Not606 Racing Team works fine I guess.

Just realised I've utterly screwed up my strategy for Tuesday. I'm starting on dry tyres, but forgot to tell the driver to leave it 1 or 2 laps before pitting for wets. By the looks of it, I'll pit at the end of the first lap for wet tyres, then lap 2 will be dry so I'll have to pit again. Thats 40-50 seconds of lap time wasted!
You can still change your strategy until 17:30 on Tuseday
the only thing you cannot change after qualifying is ur dry tyre type and first stint fuel load.
Thank you! Thats saved me a bunch of time, I thought it was all locked in from when you first confirmed it. I think/hope 2 laps should be enough for it to stop raining. I'm not sure how much time medium tyres on a wet track will cost me.
No problem, I expect it to stop raining early, lap 2 would be ideal but as long as it is between 2-5 I think you will jump everyone who doesn't start on dry tyres, the time to make a pit stop is short which is the only problem. Medium tyres are the tyres to be on for a dry track given the tyre deg and length of the race.
I thought mediums were the best idea. I'm currently trying to 1 stop, which could be ambitious, but with my limited data I think the mediums should last 35-40 laps. I've got the starting fuel for that strategy anyway, unless anyone has lots of data to say it's impossible?
I think it is probably impossible, im trying a 2 stop with the medium. P2 in Q1 and P5 in Q2 so im quite heavy but I think others might be trying 3 stops with softs or they have misjudged the very high fuel consumption.
Bugger. Well the 130l I've put in to start with was a mistake then, looks like I'm on for a horrendously slow first stint. I'll split the remaining fuel into 2 equal pit-stops, so I'll hopefully finish strongly at least. Cheers.
hey guys iv been away, something wrong with my internet. welcome to the new guys its looks like our team is gettin bigger which is good to see and good to see u guys gettin good results i think we are all ready for the next season. i missed my last race but and whats funny is that while i was gone there has been alot of drivers who have gone in the negative so my hopes may still be alive so ima go for it! for laguna seca it looks like it may rain abit but looks like an all over the place kinda rain but will be interesting finding out what tyre. lets say the it doesnt rain at all then the tyre use should be ur harder compounds as it is is a high tyre use and will be using alotta fuel but since it could rain ur strategy may completely change in that u may wanna use less fuel coz of the rain. even tryna work out wheather itll rain and how itll affect ur strategy will be hard. will do my calculations soon and will get back

Its an F1 Management game. You are responsible for signing and training your driver, setting up the car for each race, deciding on a strategy (fuel and tyres) and telling the driver how to handle qualifying, and a few other things. On top of this you can improve your team, upgrade your car, run test sessions, etc if you have the money.
Races run twice a week (Tues and Fri) and you have to qualify and submit your setup 90mins before. During the race you have no control over what happens, just your predetermined strategy. You can follow the race "live" with a lap updating every 2 mins, or leave it and check the results whenever is convenient.
When you join, you join in a rookie league, with up to 40 drivers. Finish in the top 4 and you get promoted. It's quite addictive, and the game engine is complex, so there's lots to think about, and you end up analysing all the data you get to perfect your next strategy. If you don't like looking at lap times and fuel consumption data, it's probably not so interesting, but I'm enjoying it, having only done 2 races. If you join now you'll get 3 or 4 races to get used to it before the next season.
Everyone on here was really helpful when I first joined, and the GPRO group has loads of helpful stuff. If you don't like it you've not lost anything!
