not sure Hyde Park qualfies as countryside mate .
You never seen a stile then? - its just a way of getting over a fence or wall where a path goes across a field , without having to open a gate, as there may be animals there.
Seen a few i guess just never knew what they were called, just call it a dog gate

Bricks done. Just got to brush them down after a cuppa.
Could have sworn I had a full size trowel. Had to use a pointing trowel ffs.
You got the colour match with the patio bricks spot on mate.
Went for engineers. The faces of the bricks in the original wall are dropping off like you wouldn't believe. Not designed for the damp I guess.
