What did Saka do that was so great? All I saw him do was run forwards against a team that let him, much like every England player who tried to run a from deep, Stones and Maguire for example. When he tried to dribble passed players he lost it almost every time, but fluked possession back through ricochets off opponents legs. And his dead ball delivery was ****ing gash as well, wouldn't even have cleared the first defender if he'd been an oompah loompah.
Apart from the run past several Czech players that led to the goal of course. And the numerous other times he turned their defenders on the back foot. And the passing to put us on the front foot. And being composed in defence and playing the ball out to start another attack. And the decent free kick onto Kane’s nut in the box. And his general composure on the ball and willingness to take players on and attack. Think he had one duff free kick that didn’t clear the first line. But yeah apart from that he didn’t do anything … musta been deluded to award him MOTM
you mean the one where he was allowed to run withut a challenge until; the area, and then tried to get passed a player, lost control, but got a flukey ricochet from 2 Czech players legs until it bounced to another England player? And that goal was all about Grealish's chipped cross. As to MotM, these are the people that kept trying to tell me, but convinced you, that De Gea was the world's best GK.
you're right, I was thinking of the next attempt, and the one after that. that said, his cross in that set up the chance for the goal was ****.
Bro his involvement in the goal was nothing more than decent, he ran with the ball out of defence and without the ball into good space but his cross was ****ing awful, rescued by Grealish and Kane iirc.
It did. But we’re talking about his overall contribution to the game. The lad was opening up their defence every time he got the ball. He had a good game and he got MOTM. I ain’t saying he’s turned into Zidane overnight, but the folk saying he did nothing are chatting claart
I think he did well, absolutely deserves to be in the squad, but not at Foden’s expense. If it’s a forward 4 from Kane (who’s guaranteed a spot), Sterling (who’s guaranteed a spot) Grealish, Foden and Saka, assuming love child Mount is not available, then Saka gets left out imo, especially against a top side. I’d have him in for some games tbh, but my front 4 wouldn’t have room for Kane or Sterling.
You want to suck my balls I get it. But unfortunately we won't be bidding for him just yet... but if and when we feel like he needs a move he'll come running as fast as he was last night.
On current form in this tourno, Foden doesn’t make the team, but I agree he’s a top talent and should be in there. Same with Kane really. So far he’s offered **** all but his goal scoring record gives him a place, although I wouldn’t start him in the next game as I think we need a far more dynamic and mobile player leading the line. For me, the form players play. So that includes Saka and Grealish in the next game As I mentioned before, it’s a good problem for Southgate to have, because he’s got Foden, Grealish, Sterling, Saka and Mount (if he’s available) all pushing for a place. But it gives him options to switch things up if it’s not going well. Hopefully we progress past the next game and all of these players get a chance to shine.
The problem is if Sterling we're left with 3 players - Foden, Sancho and Saka on able to play on the right. Limits our options unless we drop Kane and play Foden centrally. Then it gives Sancho a chance to start and the option for Saka to come on from the bench.
Ffs obv you don't get it, so to enable you to work it out for yourself, word your bet. You think we're going to bid for him?
Saka can play on the left too. So potentially you could have him and Foden in the team and the potential to include Sancho/Kane/Rashford
Bro please. If you agree then don’t lob daft suggestions in the pot. Otherwise it might cost you a bollock.
