Where the sun never stops shining
We are now sitting 9th with 11 points <ok>

As well as things are going following a shaky start here is a sobering thought - we are 11 points behind the league leaders Man City <yikes>

Of course we are not going to pretend we could ever compete with the top end of the league but that is a staggering difference after just 8 games!

We may be 11 points behind Man City, but we are only 3 points behind next weeks opponents Liverpool though!

Here's the perspective that really matters: we are one quarter of the way to safety.

Beat Liverpool 2-0 next week and we'll be above another one of the sides (arsenal being the first) who were expected to challenge for champions league qulaification.

Easier said than done I know, but there is perspective for you. Put the first 4 games down to adjusting to this league and settling a starting side and system. Then out of the next 4 we won 3 and were unlucky to get nothing from Manure. Doesn't look so bad does it?

I know we have a long hard slog ahead, but really, I cannot see us being anywhere near the foot of the table come May. We will finnish somewhere between 6th and 14th. Comfortable mid table obscurity will do me fine this year :)

and six points above the bottom 3

i hope that increases though over the season........

great great start let's keep it going. Nothing to lose at Anfield next weekend

Right now I am confident we will stay up, and probably finish above 15th, because we have played 2 of the 3 hardest games of our season and not looked too out of our depth and some teams like Arsenal conceded a hell of a lot more goals than we did in those games.

Not that any of us ever entertained such stupid garbage, but you remember the 'you'll have a worse total than Derby' taunts from some over the summer?
I suddenly realised this morning we've already reached Derby's 11 point season total, and have three times as many wins.

Now, we know we were never going to be in that bracket, but it's nice to be able to ram it down a few throats so early!

If only there were some throats around to ram it down! We seem to be in the midst of a 'binner free' zone!

Gandy reckons that Yorkie took them on a team bonding weekend................Spooky eh?:emoticon-0103-cool: Maybe they are aware of the curse that my Haitian voodoo priestess put on them? 2 1 up and Cardiff got a dodgy pen with Earnie involved:emoticon-0116-evilg

Don't want you to be disappointed Dave, so how about I stand in for them on this? Here's my question. "What do you budgies think Blackpool fans were saying after 8 games last season?"
