This season some of the refs have not been great. Stoke and west brom being examples. Both refs got a lot of attention as a result. However, I felt today the ref had a very good game. He got all decisions right and allowed advantages where they should be allowed. He even spoke to a player after waiting for play to end after giving an advantage. All this was shown by the incident where most of the ball had gone out of play they allowed it to play on and the linesman had given the ball a thorough look. Anyway just felt I would say this about the ref as they get a lot of criticism and don't get praised enough when they deserve it.
I thought the card to Monk was a bit harsh, especially after only 5 mins. I feared for the flow of the game at that point. To his credit, that was just about the only time I noticed him and that is generally a sign of a good ref.
Didn t notice the ref or get angry with decisions so ,yes respect where its due..... He did well whoever he was..
I think it was because his intent was to stop Morison, not to win the ball. Still harsh in my eyes though. Especially that early in thew game.
The only complaint I'd have about him was that if Monk's foul was a yellow, then Rangel's foul on Pilks that led to the second goal was definitely a yellow, other than that you hardly noticed him, which is exactly how a ref should be
