Me neither to be honest. The CSKA link seems improbable to me and the Middlesbrough one a lazy link. He will have options though, his profile is high and is on a free. Goalscorers always attract interest.Funnily enough I don’t![]()

I can see mathematics is not your strongest subject. Wheres this 300 come from?Dozens?? So you’re saying he had over 300 easy chances last season? Wow!
Funny how he has a 28% chance conversion rate (better than a goal from every 4 attempts) and, incidentally, 2nd best in the division after Clarke-Harris.
Why do we, as fans, have to beat the **** out of a player who just had his best season ever? As I’ve said, he’s not a great footballer, but he is a very good (or was last season) L1 striker. The 2 are not mutually exclusive.
also, the first half miss didn’t haunt us. It was 1-0 at the time. He scores it becomes 2 and is a different game. The miss second half after McGeady hit the post did cost us. But the easier chance didn’t as the whole game would’ve been different at 2-0.
Said to my lad at the time, the miss would come back to haunt us. For everyone he scored, he missed dozens of easy chances. People forget that

My strongest subjectand his record without McGeady ? plus we have to change our set up for him to get a game, i've got more Motability than him and if i had Geadys delivering i would do betterI know goals arent everything but they are important. Interested to see how Wyke stacks up against some others.
Wyke - across his career 1 goal every 2.9 games. For Sunderland 1 in every 2.7. This season one every 1.6 games.
Johnson Clark-Harris - across his career 1 goal every 3.3 games. This season 1 goal every 1.5 games. In many ways, like some claim Wyke is, he has been a 1 season wonder. However some of us have touted him as a £9m replacement.
Marquis - 1 goal every 3.1 games across his career.
Stockley - 1 goal every 3.5 games across his career. A player chased by likely promotion chasing teams.
For an extreme comparison Ivan Toney has a career record of 1 goal every 2.6 games.
Now I am not suggesting Wyke is to be compared directly with any of these. But to those who really think his record is rubbish who do we want to come in and deliver a better record.

This whole McGeady thing is daft and works both ways frankly. McGeady had 16 assists this season. In the last ten years his second highest assists is 9. Often he is much less. Maybe without Wyke McGeady has no end product? Same logic as saying Wyke cant score without McGeady. Much more likely Sunderland have finally appointed a manager who can work out how to get the best out of players and is a top class coach. Although that doesnt suit the narrative of some either.and his record without McGeady ? plus we have to change our set up for him to get a game, i've got more Motability than him and if i had Geadys delivering i would do better![]()
guess you just want us to forget his first two seasons then when he was dog ****eThis whole McGeady thing is daft and works both ways frankly. McGeady had 16 assists this season. All of this is pointless debate. You will get your wish and he will be gone. Shame we dont get to see what a real coach like Johnson could do over a season with him (20 and 29 in the league for Johnson)
I have already pointed to his overall sunderland stats so no. Do you want to ignore the fact we have a manger who has transformed both players fortunes?guess you just want us to forget his first two seasons then when he was dog ****e
unless he won promotion yesI have already pointed to his overall sunderland stats so no. Do you want to ignore the fact we have a manger who has transformed both players fortunes?
So improving players and getting more out of them than previous managers doesnt matter?unless he won promotion yes
what did he do in the job he was hired for (to take us up) that Ross did not do yet ross got the pushSo improving players and getting more out of them than previous managers doesnt matter?
Ross had over a season and built his own squad. If he fails after being given the same chance he will get the push as well.what did he do in the job he was hired for (to take us up) that Ross did not do yet ross got the push
well its all opinions i think i'll stick with mine, as i don't agree with yours which makes a change, as i normally do agree with you on footie mattersRoss had over a season and built his own squad. If he fails after being given the same chance he will get the push as well.
just checked Ross failed first season loads of players left when we got relegatedRoss had over a season and built his own squad. If he fails after being given the same chance he will get the push as well.
