    This Italy team is brilliant. I didn’t realise pre-tournament just how good the team they’ve assembled is, they’ve got solid depth too.

    They've been playing good attacking football under Mancini.

    Good result for you lot tonight. Almost guarantees you second place and a last 16 match against Finland/Russia.

    Yes, looking good. Italy may rotate as well which may make it easier.

    Italy through, no way they risking anyone against your lot, would be crazy to do so. I'd probably take Finland given the chance (not looked at the groups). Not sure about the Russians, although Belgium did turn them over.

    I really want England to go on and get a game against Portugal if poss, just so someone can smash Ronaldo's nose out of joint. We owe him.

    I'm still not over Euro 2004 tbh. That's the one tournament in my lifetime that we genuinely should have won.

    Is that when Greece won?

    For some reason I seem to think I was out of the country when 2004 was on. I remember seeing it on a TV, possibly in a bar, but defo not in the UK. Only reason it comes back to me is because I was surprised Greece even got to the final, let alone won it.

    “Because of the Greenpeace logo, it was decided not to have the snipers intervene,” Herrmann told the Bild tabloid. “If the police had come to another conclusion, that it was a terrorist attack, then the pilot might have had to pay for the action with his life.”

    <yikes>

    Silly ****, could've ended up as a bullet ridden corpse splatting on the pitch.

    I also posted a wiki article on the Israel thread, because obviously the idiot had never heard of the Munich massacre at the Olympics, so all considering he's very lucky to still be alive.

    Would have been better had the overhead clearance gone in the other end to level up the score
    Otherwise they still lose lol

    One of the best meltdowns the Premier league has ever since. The other Saf turned him into a bubbling mess.
