So out of all the people getting awards today the one singled out as not worthy is the person who received it for services to racial equality.
 
Don’t worry - I expect he will refuse it due to its links to ‘empire and colonial oppression’
If anyone deserves an award for me it would be Marcus Rashford. He seems to be a good kid with very grounded principles.

I don't agree with the honours system as it is, but here goes I am looking forward to Messr Rashford condemning the working practices of Adidas and Nike.

Of Course because it is written that if you speak out against one injustice then you must speak out against all injustices. Its what the Suffragettes did with the plight of the Native Americans and why Emily Davision had a banner on her stating that ' Native American Lives Matter' when she was trampled by the King's horse

Don't hold your breath, Rashford has just signed a new contract with Nike.

Rashford has a very lucrative contract with Nike, that he has just renewed. So he has not spoken out against it just profited from it, IMHO it's hypocrisy but hey ho, each to his own.

Marcus Rashford speaks out v child poverty while receiving millions of pounds from a company that profits from exploiting impoverished labour including children.

It's clearly obvious to most that these supposedly wonderful people are less interested in the cause than the money it earns them. I watch English TV over here in Canada via TV Mucho and I am starting to wonder if there any non-ethnic people left available to appear in TV ads or have they all disappeared down a rabbit hole?

I thinks it’s a bit naive to think there isn’t positive discrimination going on, I leave it you to decide if f that’s a bad thing, but it surely isn’t coincidence most now have a member of each minority in them.
 
I think it’s good if all races and ethnic people are represented.
I think how that’s achieved is the issue - if you leave it to ‘nature’ then it’ll be slow, but if you try to accelerate it by ‘positive’ discrimination then you run the risk of creating the very monster you are trying to kill.

a lot less money about! most adverts up until a year ago had a personality [ A or B rated ] now like BARCLAYS and most banks various most of the" on line experience" to accompany log on etc are BAME, mostly BA .. with spatterings of minorities … wont go into percentage of days since NOV 2020, but very very high! but last few days is a most unassuming LGBT representative gives a warm welcome to log on , gives a sense of calmness and welcome! Nothing false or put on with the pose ……………………….
