Driving thru the North Yorkshire Moors tail end of last week I passed thru the middle of two fields of cows.

Hundreds and thousands of the milky buggers, there were.


Now get this.

The cows in the North field were generally standing up whilst the cows in the South field were, to a man (cow?), laying down.

Every last Daisy and Ermintrude flat on the ground.



Now I'm not one for ignoring the wise ways of Countryside Lore so this obviously means that anywhere north of Robin Hood's Bay is going to have a glorious summer whilst those of you south of North Yorkshire will have a St. Swithen's Dayesque deluge of rain for the next 40 days and nights.
