LP will probably get exposed to a body shot after 15 seconds and soldier on for another minute before taking a knee and calling it a lucky punch and asking for a rematch. The dumb yanks will buy it as well.
Boxing is dogshit, it’s done as a sport for me. no one wants to really kill anyone...can see through the bullshit, even from the likes of Fury. Then you get someone who can go a whole career without losing a pro fight yet can’t/won’t take out a Youtuber. The bar was set by the Mike Tyson’s of the world and now we have this. MMA is the way forward for real warriors
McGregor would also let that **** off the hook, he is all about money, as are Joshua and Fury. You wanna see this ****s head come off stick him in the octagon with a Nate Diaz or Jon Jones type fighter.
Broadcasters don't want to show people dying on TV, it's bad for business as far as they're concerned. I'm not sure how true that is tbh, I think the Romans knew what they were about when they built the Colosseum. Drivers used to die every week in F1, then the TV companies showed up with their millions and now no one dies. MMA will go the same way.
**** fight anyway. The mayweather one. One of the under cards was decent punch up tho, Luis arias and some other bloke. Wasnt as good as mike tysons event
This isn't boxing, it's just an extension of celebrity streaming culture. Mayweather retired from boxing years ago. He didn't retire from making money, though. If he butchered one of these ****bags, then he wouldn't get any more cash grabs. His fights were dull for years, anyway.
£50 apparently was on sky this morning the full fight. The actual stadium was more or less empty, not sure if that was a covid thing but there was a few hundred there at the most.
Mayweather has aslo done one of these recently in japan against a kickboxer. Lasted around a minute and half, 9 million or some **** he got for it.
Can't blame either fighter for making a ****load of money, even Mayweather called it legalized bank-robbery.
Yeh exactly. These will become more common i reckon. Takes so long for proper fights to get sorted, contracts, ducking, politics its no wonder people will start taking an interest in these celebrity/exhibition fights.
Top Rank have signed a deal with Sky to televise their US fights in the UK, apparently. Not sure how much good that'll do either of them, as most of their boxers are based on that side of the Atlantic and they'll be on at 4am. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Top_Rank
