Especially as he is technically speaking available as a free agent.Really don’t get that surely a business would want to keep hold of their assets to sell them off rather than go for free. Gayle signing a contract does not push whether a takeover will happen one way or another it’s just good sense from the club.
Just approach his agent and offer him 50k a week and he’s gone. Why wait for him to sign a 3 year contract and then lay upwards of £5m?
