Mcgregor started in 12 of the last 13 Scotland games.

He must already have the required luck.

No he didn't.

Anyway, if Clarke has seen sense (I have my doubts) then McTominay has to be playing in midfield rather than centre back, McGinn will obviously play, and then he likes having players like Christie and Fraser around the striker.

McGregors best chance of playing is if Clarke has been up all night getting pished and forgets how ****e he is, so he has a great chance tbh.

Fair enough, I'm no wasting any more me time on Scotland Football Club.

Delicious.

As Celtic fans we are natural optimists. Nothing is handed to us as a club or a support. We are the club of "10 Men Won The League"; the club saved by its fans, of last-minute goals and epic triumphs against the odds.

Our natural instinct is to hope for the best in any given situation. But as I get older I realise I have seen this movie before. We are also the club hampered by staggering, chronic, heart-breaking, abysmal and unforgivable leadership. From the Kellys and Whites to the Desmonds and the Lawwells (and I believe we need to start talking in terms of dynasties again - because I suspect these guys are...)

Never has the potential of this club, and the ambition of its fans, been matched in the boardroom. Never. If - by some glitch in the matrix - we appoint someone who drives up standards and demands more form us all, we quickly piss him off and usher him out the door. For the last 17 years we have been managed by a megolomaniacal accountant with zero interest in fulfilling this club's potential, who has enriched himself whilst allowing the club to stagnate. Who has presided over an absolute binfire of a season on and off the park, with nary even the hint of an apology to any of us.

We are now facing the very real pssibility of handing the Huns not one but multiple CL group stage cheques. Their banter years are well and truly over - and our leaders have facilitated their rescue.

And now, with a new CEO about to start, Lawwell is working frantically to conclude the most insanely risky leftfield appointment in Scottish football history: a genuine forehead-slapping moment of madness which could set us back half a decade or more. Why? Because he is enraged that he is being replaced? Because he wants to help his son and his relationship with City? Becaise he wants to tank the share price to help someone else munt a takeover?

I've no idea but there is no way on God's Green Earth that this appointment is the very best Celtic can achieve at theis moment in time. Indeed, it is arguably - on paper at least - one of the worst.

I understand people wanting to put the best slant on Ange - but please, take it from an old Celtic Da- we are being played. This is a fiasco we will be talking about as surely as previous generations talk about John Barnes.

It is fvcking killing them!

<laugh>

tbh when he was connected with coming to you guys - I think it was just before Pedro - I thought he might’ve been more than decent, had the Aussie team playing fairly well especially given the standard of player they had at that time .. but that was a good few years ago now and he’s not really done much since..

Can you hear, can you hear the thunder...
