It's been about bonus points since play started yesterday. That's why Abell declared as soon as we got to 300, to stop Glos getting any more bowling points. That's probably it for the day now, so we'll have to settle for the 4 we have, against Gloucester's 2. Better than nothing.
It'll be interesting when Surrey decide to pull out. They can't afford to bat on too long, because they badly need to win. Middlesex's batting has been so bad this season that Surrey can afford to take the risk of setting them something chaseable, knowing that the balance will still be in their favour. But on the flip side, if they lose, it's surely season over for them.
Horrible collapse this by Gloucs again Surrey's spinners. Could be enough to keep Surrey's top two hopes alive.
Not to mention both Somerset’s and Hampshire’s hopes. 111-6. I assume that as the Surrey fast bowlers have only bowled 14 overs between them the follow-on would be enforced, should it come to that.
Don't tell me you would like Surrey to win? Go and wash your mouth out with soap and water for such vile thinking!!
Apart from the Overton link, I cannot think of one good reason to want Surrey to win? They are more detestable than Manchester United to me so I love it when they are stuffed by anyone.
I know you don’t really understand about being a fan, but I am one. Of Somerset. I want Gloucester to get as few points as possible out of this game.
Just beware of Surrey. If they win this one, they will have closed the gap quite a bit on Hampshire. You guys sitll have a game to some against Surrey? Just thrash them so you and Glocs can finish first and second.
I am still going with Glocs and Somerset and hope one of them can win the Championship. Wouldn't mind Northants either as they have never won the thing. So any of those three.
