You are right RS. But surely United should have been a bit more savvy in their approach. Besides which, if they had not cocked up in the CL group stages, they would not have been in this situation. As for games lacking integrity, we are about to witness a surfeit of it in the euros. As England lack being savvy, watch them blow it against a very ordinary team at some stage in the competition.
Completely agree with everything you wrote TIOM and I fully expect England to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.

We're mere days away from the final ties of the first-round of CONCACAF World Cup qualifying, and I'm certain you're all very excited to hear about Canada's progress. They currently top the table after wins over Bermuda and the Cayman Islands, but their chance to progress will almost certainly come down to a single pivotal game on the final day of the group stage, against their chief rivals in the group: 141th-ranked Suriname, captained by one-time West Bromwich loanee Ryan Donk and featuring a whole host of Dutch players in their 30s that figured they might as well play international football for someone (this isn't even really an exaggeration, there are only four players in their squad with 5+ caps).

Surely the most-exciting international competition of the month of June, with the winner advancing to face the winner of a group featuring such powerhouses as Nicaragua, Belize and Haiti for a spot in the Octagonal.

This has been your semi-annual update on the Canadian men's national team

Sheffield United have appointed former Watford and Fulham boss Slavisa Jokanovic as their new manager on a three-year deal.

Good appointment for them, that’s where Bournemouth went wrong this season, had the squad to get promoted and put two cheap options in charge, which has ultimately cost them a lot more than the wages of a decent Championship manager by failing to get them back into the PL.

So the red card against Azpilicueta has been overturned because that low life, namely Grealish, was found to be taking a supposed near death experience, exhibited by the writhing and rolling around, a little too far. Pleased for Azpil... (whatever) but what about the low life? Does, or should anything happen to him? In my not so humble opinion, l think the red card should transferred to him.

Is that 5 overturned reds for the season? Anyone know where we can find the per season numbers for that?

Be incredibly embarrassing for VAR if the average was less than 5 per season. Saying that, I think it's pretty bad for VAR that 5 decisions have been overturned.

Yep, VAR has muddied the water further rather than solved anything and just added another layer of scrutiny and can't continue in the current form.

And yes we know you told us so Libby...
