So pearce is working for a behind a paywall sports journalists, do lfc need to tell him the truth?

Hes not working for the local rag where you might want the friendly publicity etc.

I'm sure hes in the job he is in primarily due to being the guy covering lfc and the clicks but do lfc need to keep him sweet? No imo.

The newbie at the echo is more likely to be reporting what lfc want known par se.

I'm sure klopp doesn't really need him or cares.

Hes there to make up numbers and if he plays a game before hes sold for a small profit who knows.

He can add to the English quota lol. Perverse as that sounds.

The u21 euros end next week so this is no big deal for us in terms of him being ready for the start of preseason?

The most important thing for me is having as many as possible in that preseason to recover our fitness and shape in time for next season. It's going to be a very big preseason for us.

For those on Twitter, make sure you follow these guys. Really knowledgable and provide great in-depth analysis on select matches. Reading the below made me feel nice and fuzzy inside ...

I learned how to do c&p on my phone because I knew I wouldn't have a hope of remembering that name. I can't begin to pronounce it either - makes it a bit difficult for chants on the Kop so this is probably a no goer.

    And another 2 cms.

Not having Curtis is the new replacement for gini cos he was already the replacement for lallana.

FSG need to dig deep and back Klopp this summer,, training ground great, stands, also great, now be serious & back the manager properly to make this squad one of the best in the world... also as an apology to the fans for trying that super league ****.

Good to get it done and over the line quickly. Far more efficient in the market these days. Lot easier with release clauses although good to see us just pay it rather than try haggle down part payments and pay extra. Hopefully it’s a sign that fsg are willing to put some cash behind klopp this year to really strengthen not only the first 11 but the squad as well.

Def need a rb to help out trent although where do you get someone that can come in and be second fiddle to him? Maybe someone wth at can cover both full back slots to add some flexibility?

A forward is surely next on the list though?

Could do with seeing a few players go before we fill up the squad as well

Guy looks an absolute beast physically as well. Bit gangly at times, but in terms of pure strength and speed, should fit in well. It’s a pretty imposing centre back partnership of him and vvd. Should help us deal with teams and hopefully offer a bit more of a threat from set pieces than Gomez who doesn’t quite have that same attributes.

IMO we can sell the RB position to the right guy if we are going to move trent to midfield. otherwise forget it.

Right now the team has 9 of 11 first team slots filled 100% and in the other two we are talking firmino and henderson as the players in situ.

A younger forward (<24) with lots of pace would be ideal.
the midfield slot is a tough one. henderson and thiago are already 30+ milner is 35. jones is 20. keita is 26 but maybe going, ox is probably a utility forward almost at this point. It really is almost possible to see us buy a good RB and shove trent towards RCM type role where he can play even more central and pick balls through

Matip, Gomez, VVD, Konate and then another? I think that's crazy overkill. Especially when we still have Phillips, Williams and Fabinho.

All the time Klopp is in charge TAA won’t be in midfield. Why would you change his role from one where he has creative freedom out wide with space and has been standout RB in world football for 2 years... to move him into a role where his main job is to chase, tackle, and be a solid block to allow his replacement at RB to push on.

Yes but Jimmy is never playing Phillips Williams ever again. And think this season proved no point moving fab there to weaken the midfield.

It would make sense to have adequate cover for Fabinho in midfield then other than yet another CB.

Wouldn’t mind someone like Ndidi. Think he’s quality in midfield although buying from Leicester is expensive business.

Tielemans as well, lovely player, Klopp's preferred age and would fit right in.

Because that's not all our midfielders do.

If he was rcm he can do what henderson did and still cross but he can also go down the middle and run the ball and pass forward.
