The Scotch elections are quasi-referenda so tactics dictate as opposed to policy.

Most people are conservatives in mature democracies, history shows us this particularly in the anglophone world.

I would never vote for any LD proponent, a truly abhorrent and inhumane policy if it lasted 3 weeks, never mind 18 months+.

The media pushing the Imperial College opine that if Johnson's Junta had shut down harder and faster, would have saved 30k lives is a total fallacy.

LD was only to slow the spread & flatten the curve so the deaths would be spread out over a longer period of time, not to stop the deaths.

We are so far removed from reality now, it is quite clear that there is absolutely no going back.
