Well, given that Transylvania is not one of those places you
want to play at in the EL on a dark autumn/winter thursday night ...

There's reports suggesting that UEFA officials had to grab the Europa league trophy away from Etienne Capoue because he was trying to fill it with beer

My immediate thought was because the beer he was using wasn't an official Europa League sponsor...

    Given that the Europa's sponsored by Heineken's non-alcoholic ****e, that's probably a fair bet.

The Telegraph are reporting that Stoke might have to sell their stadium to avoid breaching financial rules after an £88m loss.
I suspect that they'll either use some stupid workaround and sell it to their owners or it'll get ignored because of covid.

Can't they just pretend they haven't broken any financial rules and carry on as normal?

I mean if Leicester can do that...

Didn't they chuck the FA a few quid to go away?

Will there be any clubs going out of business come next season. I don't know what happened at Dover.

Honestly, with Aurier entering the final year of his contract, the smart choice is to keep Doherty and sign one RB (for the sake of argument let's say Aarons) with Doherty moving on next summer

Selling two RBs (probably three, assuming Villarreal take up the option to make Foyth's loan permanent) is bad strategy, because there's numerous worst case scenarios that can come from that

    Allegri to Juve isn’t it?

I think Conte will end up at Madrid, just seems a logical move for both sides.

Poch to Spurs and Zidane to PSG

Allegri returning to Juve realistically looks bad for both, as Juve are bringing back somebody who left the club two managers ago, while Allegri is effectively having to accept that nobody significant was interested in bringing him in at any point in the last eighteen months (so thanks for that, Bayern...)

Doherty isn't a right-back, though. We shouldn't keep him unless we bring in a manager that prefers wingbacks.
Bring back Walker-Peters and sign someone else as back-up/competition.

If we bring back any more ex players or staff we will become known as a boomerang club

With the talk of Conte coming in, and his preference for 3ATB, Doherty has a place next season

Granted, his place is to get themost out of him as NEW RB settles before moving him on next summer, but it's better to have one RB and sign another than have to sign two

We need club grown players though or we're effectively giving up squad places for nothing.
It's another example of important decisions being neglected over the last few years.
Walker-Peters was horribly handled and that was obvious without the benefit of hindsight.

Nobody interested in giving Foyth a run as RB? He is our player after all!
